How can you guys make the same mistake twice over? Are you guys even aware of the main reason how all this backlash came about?

Look! Prior to this uproar, There was really very little argument over the price of your packages and stingy data allocations. After all, you maxis have positioned your premium position very well with your chest banging of superior network infrastructures (perceived or otherwise). And After all, there is a premium to pay for superiority. That I am aware and fully acknowledge and have no complaints of. Andl, it's a free market and many continued, including myself, ended up a sohai, lulu or waterfish (terms which I no doubt your ceo will now be familiar with from the social media comments) and continued with you for the perceived premium services that we were offered.

It's good now that your consumers have finally forced your hand to make some good in this aspect

So, why the backlash then and even now, after your ceo has spoken?

If you are still dumb or pretend to be one, let me fill you in. The chief reason why all this 'negative opinions' occurred was because of your blatant exploitation of your customer's loyalty and discriminatory policies with regards to your packages, especially secret offerings disguised as special loyalty programs yet lying thru your mouths when asked about it (the social media is filled with info on this part so I'll save my breath)

When the Ceo finally came out to apologize and want to make good, what did you guys do?

Making good by creating more discrimination! How? By making the extra data available to only Maxis One Plan customers and totally ignoring your long time customers on other plans like ivalue and surfmore, you are once again exploiting your loyal customers on those plans and discriminating them as not your preferred customers and deprive them of the upgrade

At the very least, you should have announced an across the board upgrade with Max allocation reserved for your maxis one plan customers. That'd been more palatable for everyone and it shows maxis values all its customers, not selective few

Sure, it's a free market and maxis has every right to implement what they believe to be a targeted marketing campaign. If discrimination continues to be the hallmark of Maxis corporate culture, so be it! I have enough!

From a maxis customer of 20 years, over and out!

Edit: to qualify myself, I am currently a ivalue plan user with 2 supplementary line on surfmore. I am also subscribed to maxis 10mbps home fiber. And paid my bills on time. What benefits for loyalty? bangwall.gif

Maxis still thinking about cutting down their losses in times of crisis.. Haih just give everyone free data for a week or create a more affordable plan for those "affected victims" to switch to la.

Seems like the only way to go from here is OUT!

Digi.com Bhd is posting an improved earnings on a quarterly basis despite a general drop in revenue, making RM399 million in the first quarter ended March 31, 2016.

The telco said on Friday that earnings went up by 4.5% from the previous quarter at RM382 million in Q4 2015, even as total revenue dropped 4.2% to RM1.653bil from RM1.725bil.

Earnings per share also saw an improvement from 4.9 sen to 5.13 sen, and dividend is now 5.1 sen from 4.9 sen. Its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) was RM704mil compared with RM701mil, reported The Star.

Digi said its 4G LTE and 4G LTE-A network is rapidly advancing, and had reached 73% and 33% of the population nationwide.

“Leveraging on the robust data network, we continued to deliver strong growth momentum on postpaid while prepaid stronghold remained resilient albeit faced with persistent intense competition,” it said.

Active internet subscribers also rose to 7.9 million or 64.2% of total subscribers while 4G LTE subscribers grew to 2.9 million.

Focus on high-speed data network coverage, quality and customer service in their postpaid offers had increased demand for Digi’s postpaid services, with a high number of customers converting from prepaid to postpaid.

“Postpaid service revenue registered a record growth of 6.9% year-on-year and 3.1% quarter-on-quarter while postpaid subscriber base strengthened 8.2% year-on-year to 1.9 million subscribers,” it said.

Quarterly revenue from postpaid internet subscribers rose from RM181 mil in the first quarter of 2015, to RM207 mil in the same period this year, attributed to the surge of postpaid internet subscribers to 1.5 million users.

Subscribers for Digi had been steadily increasing since 2015, as compared to competing telco Maxis, who reported a loss of over 300,000 subscribers in Q1 last period while Digi gained 450,000.

Maxis had experience a PR crisis earlier this month, and saw a major backlash that led to over 1 million users leaving the telco and moving to competing telcos such as Digi and Celcom.

If your subscription for Service(s) is made pursuant to a promotional package, you agree that all additional terms and conditions applicable to that package will apply. We reserve the right to withdraw without liability any promotional package at any time without assigning reasons.

I challenged the CS the terms wasn't read out to me when they offer me, so the terms are technically invalid. Secondly, if it is valid, they can alter the package which is MOP158 or MOP188 but they can't move user to other package as and when they like. Keep on lodge complaint right after they responded to your previous complaint. Later can go for CFM, SKMM and tribunal court for maxis to breach their contract.
