Yup it quite long for MHF1, it took me more than 400hrs to finish all the quests (elder's and tavern's) but I really enjoyed it.

Just got mine last night......Now where is Ninja....

Just found out, the cheat codes are out....I managed to find the infinite money last night...

If you'd have taken some time to read many of the threads in the discussion forum, you'd find that this question has been answered several times. Monster Hunter Portable 2nd will be released February 2007 in Japan, and following its release a US/Euro version will be released under the title of Monster Hunter Freedom 2. There is so no solid release date for the western adaptation however, and logically should be expected to be in stores anywhere between four to six months after the February release of Portable 2nd.

Capcom has ensured that there will be no PS2 release of Monster Hunter 2, but the PSP Freedom 2 will include much of MH2's content. Features such as day/night time have still not yet been solidly confirmed for the handheld sequel, and most likely will not be included. However, seasons and the possibility the inclusion of maps which are always night time, versus just sleeping. -- But the latter about night is hearsay, and should not be taken seriously until Portable 2nd is released next month and we have a chance to get some hands on experience with the product first hand.
