this is the control for MH1 english version, japanese version is different

using ps2 controller have more function:

1. to reset angle press L1
2. to move angle use direction pad
3. to run press R2
4. to use skill of weapon press R1(those weapon that can block can only block if pressed)
5. to evade press O button
6. to pick up things, to deliver things, to enter things, press X button
7. to use item press □ button
8. to ???? press Δ (this 1 i forgot what use)

to attack use left analog stick:
(this i can talk many things)
i take sword for example.

while running, walking with the sword unpulled, push anolog up will trigger jump attack

while with sword plugged out, push anolog stick down can trigger another jump attack

(to compare i use my frens PSP, while sword plugged out from the back i cant use anymore jump attack with this form)

Many more function i haven't try on the PSP, so correct me if i'm wrong

erm well your wrong. The so called t3rd attack is always triangle+circle.

Leap slash, upswing, lance charge, and etc. . .

I guess your just not used to the psp controls. . . there's no lost in commands in the PSP version. Just a change of button mapping. granted the psp doesnt have a 2nd analog stick but i feel is a just as good as the PS2 ver.
