hi, my budget is around 1500 and i want to get a decent and simple to use camera. i've tried canon ixus 65 and it's not bad with it's big screen and simple as well. can anyone recomend me some other brands at this price range?

if you ask me any digi camera from reputable makers like olympus, sony, nikon, canon, pentax, kodak are capable performers for their price range. so just look at your needs and match them to the specs, then check price, short list, research some reviews on the net (check out www.dpreview.com etc) and download some sample pics. then shop for best price and buy. that's what i would do.

if you shoot outdoors most of the time then any of the recent canon/sony/pana offerings is good. if you shoot indoors & low light a lot, then you might want to look at Fuji F20 (simpler to use) or F31
