Maxis is in hot seat now and many willing to pay penalty to port out and subscribe to much better plan.

What is your preferred plan & Telco?

need to calculate ur saving before pay the penalty.
My maxis contract will end next week, port to Celcom Gold 80.

no contract - just port out sucessfully earlier before noon ... after 48 hours

Few days back ktards said today maxis gonna come out with new plan right check their site still nothing.

never regret, as Digi at my area keep going better.. 4G connection almost 98% of the time

Previously I got 2 maxis line. 1 already ported out and now with Celcom first 38 (manage to catch the last boat before offer gone).

Another Maxis line still with 7 months contract and just called Maxis say need to pay RM 380 if want to port out. Currently paying Maxis Rm 100/month. Not sure worth to port out now or wait till contract finish. Looking at Celcom Gold 80.

What is ur current maxis package? how abt monthly usage?
What is ur need? data? unlimited call?

Settled my zerolution phone balance a week ago, not actually penalty la.

Moved my One Plan 98 x 1 (1GB) and Surfmore 30 x 2 (1GB) to prepaid..

Now on Hotlink 4G (RM30 for 2GB data) + free Spotify Premium account per line, for all 3 numbers.

Don't need unlimited call/sms plan anymore because I have another work cellphone for calls/sms.

current is iValue 1 RM 100 - 2GB and 333 mins. Monthly paying around RM 110.

Needed more data and call.

guess they're waiting for Webe plan to be officially out.

then only come out with newer plan

Webe plan can't believe at all.........so cheap........RM 8 for 20GB...

that's why need to wait for official news.

see if have any TnC, contract etc.

i think digi is better then sellcom

If i were you, i will switch...

Monthly usage = 110- 80= 30

Savings if switch to Celcom Gold 80
30x 7= RM210

Penalty - savings
RM380-210= RM170

By pay extra RM170, u can get 10gb data, unlimited call and sms, vs 2gb data, 333 mins call.

true also...can get 5x data more and unlimited call...

not worth it la...7 month left just wait...see now you pay RM100 for maxis ...if u switch to celcom u pay RM80..save RM20 every month...count by 7 month..coz left 7 month so 7*20= save RM140 over 7month while penalty is RM380...so RM380-140=RM240 total loss

I worry by the time contract finish, the plan no more...Celcom website say the Gold 80 plan extended to 31 May due to high demand....Like first 38 no more already....

Depend on ppl la, now days rm200 can do what, haha....

Maybe wait until end of May loh...If u can live with ur current plan.

One suggestion. You should check out the telco's coverage in the areas that you frequent first prior to porting.

Guys2 , how do I retain my maxis no. if I want to port out to Celcom ? , too many contacts & security bind to my existing maxis mobile no. .

The best plan so far is Celcom Gold 80 and Umobile P70. Just port out from maxis to umobile, so far so good. All the time from Senawang-KL got LTE.

2014 U-mobile (coverage ok, but 4G not so strong that time, just started)
2014 Maxis (surfmore 50)

So I just swing by Celcom first sign up for MNP or tell Maxis first that I want to port out ?

I wanna port out to Celcom (First Gold Plan). Filled up the "Contact Us Form" on Celcom website three days ago, but up until now no one contacted me

Look for bro NSR, he doing mnp and offer rm20 discount

Better proceed to a Celcom Centre or Blue Cube outlet for faster processing.

i highly suggest you wait till next week, 13 april. there a new telco, WEBE will announce their plan on that day.

Like this Maxis untung get fast money with no string attach if your penalty rm 9,000 also willing pay if only they require you to pay , but do you want? can port but you have to bear the cost

MNP cost only RM10.

As usual, i don't feel comfortable/confident with TM...

I applied to port to Celcom without paying a single cent

No issue, the rm10 can be refund after MNP process completed.

i paid RM80 upfront at blue cube jalan ampang from xpax to first 80. but MNP, RM10 without upfront payment.

If those cant wait can port out now then apply digi or celcom. If both not satisfy their line can port out again.

Finally Maxis added the data but the price still not attractive....
