Btw I did monitor the speed of both old & new trains yday although got stucked.
For the old train, I only started to switch on gps speedometer apps ~ tasik selatan stn. Max speed of 73km/hr recorded between tasik selatan -sg besi. On avg, the speed was ~ 68km/hr. On the new train. Managed to monitor between sri petaling & awan besar & another between bk5 & ioi mall. Max only 60km/hr wth avg 56km/hr. A good 10km/hr slower than the old train. |

QUOTE(elmond @ Jun 13 2016, 09:40 AM) Yup not so accurate. But for sure the new train is slower and I believe it can be improved. Probably the whole system is still under testing? Yday they already faced technical error..aduiii |

QUOTE(ciwi1166 @ Jun 13 2016, 11:41 AM) No time to explore yet. Any good places in Puchong? Can via puchong perdana/indah towards kg bersatu but that narrow kg road after puchong indah is jam during peak hr.From Puchong Utama, can cut to Subang or not without using LDP? Another less jam way go towards tekali puchong, there is small road beside that tmn. Go thru kg sr aman> andalas & out at pasar tani bt13. Make a u-turn at the toll plaza to usj. Check bypass toll maps on pg 1. Infact all puchong roads can bypass tolls but is it worth the effort intern of $$ & time This post has been edited by stimix: Jun 13 2016, 11:54 AM |

Better update & delete to the master list & thereafter can pin to 1st page.
Earlier we had a discussion bout Soon Sing restaurant i.e ex- Ramai chicken rice. The nice fried kuehtiaw stall like changed owner liso & not nice. However the nasi lemak stall is good. Currently my fav - chinese nasi lemak stall so far. Sambal very close to Malay version. This post has been edited by stimix: Jun 14 2016, 02:03 PM |

QUOTE(PangurBan @ Jun 14 2016, 03:52 PM) Agreed about the fried kuetiau. Currently the only two fried kuetiau stall I like is the one at Restoran 100 near TESCO PBP and the one at DG FC. But lately also staying away from fried kuetiau - sometimes the oil they use is suspect then the taste really Will try to update once free. Too many changes & development haha. The nasi lemak is the one inside soon sing restaurant itself. Not bad worWhich nasi lemak stall you are talking about stimix? The stall at Petronas is run by a kakak. The nasi lemak shop opposite Hero is Chinese. Stimix I think it is easiest to redo the list from scratch since there are so many changes. Maybe you can moderate a discussion on this and we take it one item at a time based on what is already on the list. For example, we can start with timsam and talk about Yuen Garden, Dragon Imperial and Jin Xuan (of which there are now at least two branches in Puchong), and then bring in all the newer ones like Foo Hing. We can say settle on the top three and put that on the list. And then we move on to Yong Tau Fu. I can see this thread getting very very busy for weeks. |

QUOTE(greatbattles @ Jun 15 2016, 03:10 PM) Traffic will improve once they open that new flyover to puchong utama. Progressing super slow! I think they are waiting a short approval to link millenium condo and Hilton inn new road to Maju Jaya. I sudpect this flyover is privately build by the developer of millenium condo & hilton inn. Anyone knows when is its expected completion? Too bad this short 50M link road still a bush area right now eventhough the road already completed on the other side... The flyover was originally under hillcrest master plan as what I can recall when I 1st bought my house during mid 90's |

BTW NL auto only good in older gen cars. They do not hv dianostic tools & etc to chk engine problems & etc. When I was having problem wth my honda cibik steering pump last time, they asked me to go bck to honda bcos they cannot diagnose & not expert in newer cars

QUOTE(elmond @ Jun 17 2016, 02:08 PM) latest call on LRT ampang line, hopefully better LRT service effective 17 july 2016 Meaning after 8/7, we no more need to switch train @ sri petaling? This will be good news. There will be no LRT services for the Ampang Line on July 7 and 8, effectively the second and third day of Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Meanwhile, commuters will be able to travel seamlessly between Putra Heights and Sentul Timur LRT stations onboard the new six-car LRT trains effective July 17 onwards. Upon completion, the Rapid Rail would introduce two new operation modes, the LRT Sri Petaling Line between Putra Heights and Sentul Timur, and the LRT Ampang Line for services between Chan Sow Lin and Ampang. With the new operations modes, customer travelling from Ampang to either Sentul Timur or Putra Heights need to disembark and switch trains at Chan Sow Lin station to enter Sri Petaling Line from July 17 onwards. Read More : http://www.nst.com.my/news/2016/06/152541/...ne-july-7-and-8 But why they delay the opening of both lines to 17/7 hmnnn The system shutdown for upgrading probably explained the frequent technical errors faced by ampang lrt recently This post has been edited by stimix: Jun 17 2016, 02:30 PM |

QUOTE(owenwong84 @ Jun 18 2016, 02:07 AM) This person share in fb using ERL and KTM only. Folding bicycle. Probably it mean also the entire putra height to sentul will on new train & only ampang - chan sow lin will be on old train. https://www.facebook.com/SPAD.my/posts/1324413544238707 If i read it right, they upgrade the ampang line signalling. No longer to choose which train is to ampang or sri petaling if from KL. If want to go ampang that line, just hop in, then disembark at chan sow lin and go to opposite platform take the train. The Ampang line train will only serve from Ampang to chan sow lin then move back to Ampang. Well good also bcos once I overslept on smpang train & only realised I'm on alien stn somewhere in tmn cahaya haha. Hv to switch bxk at ampang & change again at chan sow lin haha |
