If you getting Hoya Blu lense, when you go collect your spec, test by wearing it and turn on your phone flashlight and look at the light. Make sure there is no blue dot near the light.
Recently I made a new spec with Hoya Blu lense, whenever I look at bright light source there will be blue dot next to the light source. It is very obvious if you are in a dark environment and looking at a bright source. For example at night looking up the street light. Bright environment can't see the effect.
Once my car stopped at a traffic light at a flyover road there is a advertising board that face the road underneath, so from my side I can see the behind of the board with one long row of like 8-10 spotlights, and to my surprise I can see the 8-10 blue spots line up on my spec. When I turn my head a bit, my vision on the lights moved, the blue dots also moved in tandem with the lights. The blue dots are more prominent at certain angle.
Went back to the store, test it out for the store sale person, the sale person also using same lense type with the same problem, so the sale person said is normal maybe the Hoya Blu is suppose to reflect bad glare from tv, mobile phones, computer screen so the blue dot is there according to the sale person
Tried to google Hoya lenses on the issue and the so called features with the blue dot effect but can't find such info. So end up use the spec to watch TV at home or at cinema only.

Lens filter blue light is for use on monitor if you work long hr.
It is not for daily using and everywhere.
