So if we would like to enjoy their 4g service, we have to buy their phone, like the yes?
*
they do bundle phone for their plan rmX one, the safest of course are those models

but after details unveiled, of course can get from open market the similar model or specifications, i don believe they work the way like YES create their own brand of phone (very bad sales)

as said, while TM holding 850mhz & 2600mhz, it can fine tune how it going to apply to "plans"

such as for plan got quota one ride on faster band band 40 (2.3GHz) or 38 (2.6GHz), now most probably band 38 tdd of P1 to be utilised first as P1 said wanna slowly convert it existing wimax customers base 2.3GHz to LTE later. so tm-p1 may have 3 bands to offer LTE finally.

then for that unlimited quota rm80 put on 850mhz to save capacity, it already unlimited quota, how can u complain unfair? biggrin.gif

i dont think this thing will last

just look at how people act during burung hantu

at least burung hantu is at night, so not many can (ab)use it

maybe it will end just like karma
*
some how u r right

heard the offer only last few months after launching the service, it not permanent

guess one tactic to lure ppl jump ship only

There were rumors saying that the plans we've seen like RM10 for 20GB, RM80 for unlimited and all are for staffs only.

As for customers who got it, maybe it's just their beta testing phase as they had to register for interest before this.

if so better don't abuse the internet for propagating, otherwise would end up PR crisis like maxis facing now

almost 99% sure P1 is going bundle with ZTE BLade Q Lux

as zte device website already come out with the related support software:

http://www.ztedevice.com/support/a59afc39-...39674e1c9b.html

if bundle price only RM50, RM100 juz take it, no headache

but problem is only run b5 850mhz, unless p1 ready switch to fdd b7 2600mhz, abandoning tdd

My smartphone was not in d list  cry.gif
*
the list is not 100% reliable

as some model missed out, some model actually got different variants for different regions

e.g the huawei honor 5x only got band 5 in USA model, malaysia set may not have it

the real performer still belongs to higher band e.g. the band 38 (2600mhz)

I think they seriously messed up the spelling on this one.. everyone pronouncing it weh-beh!

on another note. the 850 MHz has much much larger coverage area than the typical 1800/2300/2600 MHz bands we have here.. and that means more subs per base station... which means more congestion... so be careful

that friend tells me they focusing on Band 5 FDD for coverage first, then going for speed with their Band 38/40 TDD for areas with high population. good thing about that is that Band 5 and 38/40 can coexist without interference.. bad thing is there is no carrier aggregation standard for  those band pairs...

thus malaysia scenario makes a joke in the eye of foreign country

developing 4G technology like 3G era speed, juz put a nicer mobile technology label only, e.g. u can see "4G" wording ur smartphone network connected screen, happy? and then sell plan like hot cake

we really do need to understand what supposed to be "4G", any real world speed below the standard shouldn't label itself as 4G, regardless it use LTE technology or not

else in coming 5G era (ZTE working on the devices now), we still 1mbps, 2mbps with generous quota or 10mbps/20mbps with few 10GB quota

so p1 is giving up all their wimax services?
*
it will be co-exist for now

webe now only ride on 850mhz band (TM go LTE band), thus fast to launch service, some call it juz rebranding

p1's LTE licensed band is 2600mhz same like other telcos, take times to build coverage

p1's wimax licensed band is 2300mhz, providing wimax service, their plan is slowly migrate wimax users to LTE @ 2300mhz. their latest modem dx-825 can support both wimax & LTE. but majority of their users are using dv230, dx230.

my two cents thought... i will still stay with my current provider... webe will be an alternative, but won't think that I will change to it:-
1. need new device to support LTE 850 (unless "free" phone with very very low price
2. coverage and service quality unknown.
*
i guess free zte phone with 24 months contract, hahaha biggrin.gif

i bought myself a zte v7 lite, no need for postpaid/contract then, juz going try their prepaid card

My friend complaint why his line was suspended and he got the reply from webe it is stated in their t&n tethering will be charge pay per use and their IT team dedected my friend doing it ilegally. They even stand firm and said even my friend complaint to skmm, the answer will be the same

Now there are only 2 options for my friend, either pay fir the 500++ bill or blacklist by Webe in CTOS

there are always got ppl eager to try..

https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4026702

as TM expect webe break even would not be reached in short time with low pricing plan, it sure would take action against misusing as that also a 'source of income' to some point of view... dry.gif
