Guys, I created a website to collect QR code, mind giving comment? I'm doing it for fun (don't think I'll win)

You guys can visit it at at http://bit.ly/24MyypK

If you guys found any problem, just mention my name here.

And if you think it'll be helpful, please share it so that we can collect as many QR code we can.

Same concept like last "phewtick" era, see how they manage to get their soap API reversed engineered.

e.g. (E.g only)
it forced phewtick to change to https on their app... do not know this time how they do it.

do not have the tools to do so now, let some ppl here explore.
*
Maybe someone found out how they generated the QR? But it's a little bit too hard, probably need checking too whether that particular QR code is associated to any phone number (which must be registered to webe already).

Can you do something to ensure that QR codes that already viewed/scanned aren't showed again for each user?
*
You shouldn't be getting the same image. When you click next, it'll save that in your history. You probably scanned it before, just not through my website.

not really, i remember i scanned that long 7 images ealier but now it appeared again. unless another person uploaded it using another account? by the way, i noticed quite a number of images link were broken/unable to load. but once i click done and next, i won't be able to see it anymore again right? quite a waste...
*
I'll double check. But shouldn't be happening as it's pretty troublesome for people to register multiple fb account. As for broken image, I need to do double check if it's a valid qr image code. Basically people can submit invalid qr code. Will probably try out something new tonight.

Anyway, I'm hitting limit on my hosting lol. 12K page views for today.

Oh, as I said earlier, if you scanned it somewhere else, the app wouldn't know. It can only record the one that you scanned in the app.

i scanned it from your website that's why i can remember clearly because it has 7 qr codes in 1 image, quite unique. for the broken link, not the qr code is invalid, is the link itself broken, which means nothing appears. it's like the image is not properly uploaded or something like that.
*
The uploader probably combined it. The link is broken because people didn't put the url properly. I did some simple validation, but it's not enough I guess. For e.g: The user can just put http://picture.png and it'll pass.

I've removed those invalid QR code in my website (and their account too). Had to delete almos 160 accounts. I'm surprised people would put invalid QR as that won't be beneficial to them, in fact, people won't be able to scan their code.

I have put a validation where new image by new user will be checked for valid webe code first.

The QR displayed is now generated by the website based on the submission, so, you won't see weird big images or images with different border, background etc.

Next:

- Remove duplicated code
- Create dummy user from a collection of qr code so that you guys don't have to wait for new registration to get new code. All I have to do is grab those images from FB and post it into my website and you'll get more codes

Edit: Apparently there's no duplicated code rclxms.gif

Rejoice people. I've added QR codes from https://www.facebook.com/groups/105297993219806/ which has about 408 QR codes, but only 132 can be imported. It's probably because either the code posted is invalid or the code already exists in my app or my code has problem lol. If you guys know any FB that has a lot of QR code, just ping me here. I'll do the import so that it'd be easier for you guys to scan it.

p/s: For those who don't know, http://webeqr.herokuapp.com won't re-display qr code that has been show to you in the app.

Hmm.. I need to think a way to mine those qr automatically into the website as waiting for new user registration is not that fast.

Hah, I found out a way to mine those QR code from Twitter (with hashtag #webe850). So, managed to import around 45 fresh codes into http://webeqr.herokuapp.com. Will import more later (reached my quota for Twitter just now).

So, right now the website is taking data from:

- User registration
- FB Groups*
- Twitter streams*

Whenever I'm rajin enough to run the script tongue.gif

No worries. The app always record which code you've scanned, so it won't show any similar code. So, just login and it'll show the code that has never been shown to you before. If you got error saying it has been scanned before, you've probably scanned it somewhere else
