How to check whether webe signal is strong in my house using Redmi Note3 without a subscription yet?
*
Setting, More Networks, Mobile Networks, Network Operator, Search Network. And if you see 502 153 means you are covered by webe LTE.

TQ, saw 502 153 4G.
4G=LTE right ? And what is the max speed it can reach?
*
Not sure but previously, TM said TM Go's can reach speed uo to 20Mbps. And now, TM just make their TM Go LTE towers to Webe LTE towers. So I guess it is 20Mbps.

502 153 speed should be same as yes 4G LTE 502 152 because both using the same TDD LTE band 38/40.
*
Webe uses FDD band 5 (850Mhz). Only Yes uses TDD-LTE band 38 & 40.

logically with the previous debts and upgrades ongoing.... i think 5 years (without bonus and increment to their staff) should be more efficient for them to achieved.
Unless  they are still using old methods of P1 mindset, then sadly cant pity them much if the company dont even archive "break even" by 5th year.
*
QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 2 2016, 11:15 AM)
Well that target is possible...
They know cannot achieve early, so 5years is okay..
*
Hopefully they are using new mindset.

QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Sep 3 2016, 11:20 AM)
Yes, only 20GB high speed and throttle to 128kbps after exceeding... This is so called unlimited without the rights to tethering... I will terminate it after my unifi installed on this sunday, hopefully can install as my address is not in the coverage list but my neighbour opposite of my house at the same road is in the coverage list...
*
QUOTE(tan_aniki @ Sep 3 2016, 11:28 AM)
it is only 20GB/1000min/1000sms, not worth for RM79/month with no tethering allowed although i'm able to bypass it...
plan to get the unifi on this sunday or even went back to U Mobile P70 with 15GB+7GB Video ONZ with tethering no restriction~
*
Okay, guys. This is an update to everyone.
Webe is not as great as what we thought. Its unlimited data, calls and SMS are all untrue. They are applying FUP just like their previous company, P1. Nothing much has changed just from a WiMax company to a Telco. The way they do business remains the same. We got fooled by Webe. Before this, we thought it will be like the Telcos in USA, give truely unlimited data to everyone just that tethering is not allowed. But at the end, they are still the same like P1. What s disappintment!

please don't be a hero and from what he said he is a pioneer user means that he is webe staff or their relatives.
this will let those with hard effort to get the sim activated and enjoying undetected tethering from webe to get unlimited surfing with jusr RM79/month or even less with multiple families account.
please keep this with u and continue using it without being find out by webe.
*
Ok. Thank you.

I give you my opinion. How about you try to use latest made in China smartphone that support FDD-LTE 850Mhz. Try to tether from the phone. See if it really works!
You can try search on internet that kind of smartphone, a lot of choice.

*
Even if you change phone you still cant tether your hotspot because this setting is done by webe, not the phone.

Hehe... That's all I'm going to tell him. It is already very obvious. Last clue, their blocking is just like a firewall. It is easy to bypass a firewall.

If you are invited by webe means your area is covered with Webe's LTE signal.

laa bro... im using nexus 6p as well... you receive calls and then the signnal turns edge.. thats normal for me... im using digi now, ported from maxis...

sometimes i even get a "!" on my signal bar... it means my internet was interupted... maxis like thiis... digi is even worse...
*
Is it because of the phone problem? My experience with DiGi and Maxis. Maxis sucks. Sometimes the signal is strong sometimes the signal is weak. But with DiGi, the signal remains full bar and the minimum is 3 bars signal, never get lower than that.

nope. P1 wimax base station not available at kampong area. and LTE band 38/40 coverage as poor as vimax that is less than 2 km from tower. This 502 153 is for town user.
