It look they follow US style telco..u want tethering u pay

Yeah it seems so. I actually prefer they do it that way. If truly unlimited without any strict restrictions, people would abuse it so much that the internet would be slow before we know it.

Yeah, but no tethering probably better

Phone usage for unlimited quota does not consume much

Unless you use it for download and torrent

Maybe the ideal package is to offer constant 5mbps

Or even better, pairs with Unifi under one bill and get the same speed with Unifi plan

Streamyx? 8mbps plan follows, other plan including 384kbps gets 5mbps for webe (although they won't probably use their streamyx after that tongue.gif )

Can reduce frustration from streamyx user who always wait for fiber to come

To avoid further congestion, each account can only subscribe to 2 simcard each

But all these are just my suggestion, to avoid same result with usa karma nonstop
thankyou

yes telco can detect tethering through few methods. Google and read about it.

"how does telco detect tether"
*
The page below listed several ways...
http://android.stackexchange.com/questions...cl-wifi-hotspot

Your Phone asks your network if tethering is allowed
Not the case of our friend, as he is using non-customized iPhone.

Your phone tells your network that you are tethering
Not so sure about this, but can detect =/= can disable
One thing telco can do is to disable mobile network connection whenever it detects tethering. But from what our friend describes, the option to enable tethering simply disappeared.

Inspecting the network packets for their TTL (time to live)
Possible. But again can detect =/= can disable

MAC address inspection
MAC address can't travel across networks, e.g. from wifi to mobile network

TCP/IP Stack Fingerprinting
Possible. But again can detect =/= can disable

Looking at the Destination IP/URL
Possible. But again can detect =/= can disable

This is getting very interesting rolleyes.gif

How about when you are out of their LTE coverage? Is the 3G roaming speed as good as Celcom's user's?
