Hmm, I don't see this kind of thread here before. But I do believe many ppl love the WRC.
So who do you think will win it this year? with the Monte Carlo Rally just around the corner, I think Loeb will once again dominate, just as Makkinen did with Mitsubishi years ago.
Some of the drivers to look out for this season Sebastion Loeb (of course) - Citroen Sports - French Chris Atkinson - SUbaru WRT - OZ Marcus Gronholm (If anyone can stop Loeb, he can) - Ford BP WRT - Finn Mikko Hirvonen - BP-Ford WRT - Finn Jan Kopecky - Skoda - Czech Henning Solberg - OMV-Peugeot Norway - Norweigiean Petter Solberg - Subaru WRT -Norweigiean Dani Sordo - Citroen Sport - Spain Manfred Stohl - OMV-Kronos Citroen WRT

yea nice one linkinstreet... at last the WRC thread is here! my favourite is marcus gronholm coz he has a nice personality and his skills are amazing! petter solberg is one to look for this coming season... juz only his car don bring problems and add a little bit of luck... his 2003 dream may come back to him again... but i really like the impreza he drives and the blue swrt... nice! next one to look for is manfred stohl... i think he has the chance to put himself in the top three this coming season... and sebastian loeb... yeah, he is like a michael schumacher of f1... nth much to say liao after watching his statistics...

But the one I like about WRC is no matter what team they drove for, they are always frenly to each other. Unlike F1, there are no sponsors limitation. no corporate image, just good ol' racing. Also, Suzuki is making a comeback in WRC. From what I heard, they will race their WRC car in 3 races this season before making a full entry the next season.....
Gah, we need more exposure to this. The only thing that we see nowadays are the Shakedown on AXN and the reviews on Star Sports. I want to see the real thing dammit!

not only frenly with drivers, but very close with the spectators too... i really like when the crowd help the stucked drivers to push their cars back on track after they crashed something... haha... me oso watch astro channels only... unfortunately why we malaysia don organize this huge event... since its a tropical country, im sure there are lots of jungles and forests available for this rally championship... and tropical weather is unpredictable, which might be as muddy and as wet as those in Britain and New Zealand soil... wat we got is APRC... which i baru know got this type of rally after watching Engine Block on Star Sports... haha! Since we have F1, i doubt why our government does not wana go for WRC as well... sure will boost our fame in motorsports to the next level le...

It's like F1 lor, the tyres compound is provided according to driver's preferences before the start of a stage. Subaru is the only top team using Pirelli if I rememeber correctly.

It's up to the team. but BF Goodrich is the one that produce the best tyre right now, hence the domination by the top team using them. Michelin do not produce them, but they might seeing that they are not in F1 anymore

QUOTE(M@r0R! @ Jan 7 2007, 11:17 PM) i always support Subaru team and Petter Solberg 2006 aint Petter's year. Bad luck. I must say that Loeb is great and luck is on his side too. Winning the title while at home. But, the early leads really have helped him a lot
