Neptunia series, Atelier series,Night of the Azure, White Knight Chronicle 1 & 2, Last Rebellion, Trinity Universe, Disgaea, Tears to Tiara, Trial of Cold Steel? etc.

Personally, I think those game are waaay better when I look at FFXV battle system (Dont hate me coz I am a turn based fanboy)

if newcomers rpg said that FFXV's brotherhood was awesome gilerr, they totally never played Legend of Dragoon. That part where the hero, the knight and the king did a 3some brofist before the knight departed to afterlife was very memoriable. Almost cried when the king said to the knight "no, you're not dead"

Legend of Dragoon was under Sony company, not Square.

Square just need to get back Hinorobu Sakaguchi from Mystwalker coz FF series went downfall after Hinorobu left Square. If Kojima is mastermind storytelling for MGS, then Hinorobu is for FF. Without Kojima, MGS is just a name or brand for ridiculous game. Without Shinji Mikami, Resident Evil is just a soulless boring game that just borring its title. Same as Final Fantasy also.

The only RPG games that I think worth playing due to it still retain its classic gameplay and story telling eventhough it expand to many series was Tales of series. All praise Hideo Baba.

Before Sword Art Online, there was a 'fake' MMORPG game called .Hack. It expanded from game, manga and many TV series.

That one was a hell of rpg that was based off 'fake' mmorpg world.

The game was originally released in Japan as Tales of Eternia. When they released it in North America, the name had to be change to Tales of Destiny 2 due to copyright issue with "Eternia" word eventhough the story and plot of the game is not a direct continuation from Tales of Destiny (Stahn was the main protagonist for TOD1). Few years later, Namco released the real direct continuation of TOD 1, called Tales of Destiny 2 but couldn't release in N/A becoz Tales of Eternia already use the name 'Tales of Destiny 2' when released in US.

If u really like Tales of series, I recommend u play Symphonia. Never had a chance to play it last time when its first release on Gamecube coz I dun have the console. When it was ported to PS2, I could not play it also coz Namco didn't release it for US market, hence only Japanese version available. Until last year (or perhaps last 2 years?), they finally release both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia 2 for PS3. Awesome storyline and gameplay among Tales that I ever played, and perhaps the best Tales of series that can compared side by side with Tales of Abyss.

Last time during PS1 vs Sega Saturn console era, my friend who own Sega Saturn keep saying Shinning Force series > FF7-FF9. Who played that game back then during that era? Is it really good as claimed by my friend?

If we want to consider games that not release on Sony's console, we can also try to look at old rpg games from Xbox 360 back then when Microsft funded Mystwalker and Square Enix to develop RPG games exclusively for Xbox360 just to beat Sony's PS3 last time. Examples are like Lost Odyssey, Last Remnant, Infinite Ryvius and Eternal Sonata.

Monolith already bought by Nintendog.

I am okay when Monolith under Namco after they got sacked by SE because at least we may still enjoy the Xeno series in multiplatform format.

But when bought by Nintendo, then it will be like Xenoblade series where the game will be exclusive for Nintendo consoles. Same fate happened also to the game company who developed Fatal Frame game where until now, not only there are no effort to bring the game to US, but also the exclusivity for Nintendo will be forever due to the company is bought by Nintendo.

Played SO5, but for me SO4 is more better coz got ecchi content heheheh
