Hi all I am having problems with my time fiber. Just got it installed today and the speed test at 2pm using LAN cable was 233 Mbps. I resetted my dlink router cause the installer didn't give me the router password settings. After that, it just gives me the following speed 7Mbps. Anyone got any idea what's wrong?

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Apr 19 2016, 05:03 PM) Hi Bro, Hi bro,After you reset the Router, you need to configure back the PPPOE Username & Password, usually it's written on the Work Completion Form by the Installer. I think your speed test was not actually testing your TIME line, could it be your mobile line ? Thanks. No I get the same results for my desktop that is connected to the router directly using LAN |

Hi guys,
Just an update for my previous post on my router giving me very slow speeds on TIME's 300mbps. The technician came over, identified that connecting directly to the Hua Wei Modem gives me 300 mbps on speedtest.net . Connecting the modem to the router only gives a 7 mbps result on Ethernet. And yea, the technician was still not able to find out what is causing the problem. Will wait for TIME's response on that. In the mean time, does anyone know any settings on the DLINK router that can cause speed to reduce drastically? I have tested Cat6, Cat5e cables and tried resetting the router. Any help would be much appreciated. |

QUOTE(Dothan @ Apr 23 2016, 07:46 PM) Thanks to yeapch01 , I am able to switch from Astro to Time by giving 1 month termination notice to Astro. Supposedly the switch starts on 26th Apr but Time technician called me for earlier switching. HI bro,Using the same fiber and swapping old GPON with new one and also the DLink DIR-850L, I am able to ride the 300Mbps wagon. Speed improvement is significant, video streaming is started just a snap of fingers. The DIR850L did you adjust any settings or are u using the defaults? Im having only 7Mbps speed on the 300MBPS line. |
