Is it normal that ping a website takes 4ms (using network cable), but got around 10% of rate jump up to 40ms? It's a kinda new condo in Kuchai Lama.
Can the latency improve if I change a better router? If yes, what router do you recommend?

My question, how good is Time compared to Unifi. Any user who switch from Unifi to Time can give your views?
Try to avoid slow internet speed and down time.

I have the same problem on both wireless and ethernet. Dowload speed cant be more than 30, sometimes below 10. Upload always more than 80.

Unit is about 1200sqft.
Router is about 20 feet away blocked 2 layer of walls.
Ive sketched a simple diagram to show you the layout.
Also i just did a speedtest standing directly in front of the modem with my phone. Results show that regardless of distance theres a problem with the speeds

Guys, need help, 100mbps Time user here, just installed in my apartment last month.

Using WiFi, I'm getting 40-60mbps download but constantly getting ~100mbps upload speed, from both my PC and phone. Full 100mbps down/up via LAN cable. Restarting the router few times will resolve the issue which I've got full 100mbps down/up via WiFi on both my PC & phone, but the same problem will always happened after one or two days. I'm the only user of this router.

Any suggestion? I fed up to always restart the router when this issue occurs.

- Time 100 Mbps package
- TP-Link Archer C1200 Router
- PC: TP-Link Archer T6E. Range from router: ~3 meters
- Phone: Samsung Note 3

I am using ZTE router since signed up for TIME. I put the router at living room and the wifi signal is okay in my bedroom (okay in the sense that I can watch Youtube on my phone) for the past years. However, recently it's getting weak - no signal at some spots in bedroom. The signal at living room still good.

I've tried to change channel but it doesn't help.

Is it because it is broken down? Does it mean I should change a new router? I saw from TIME self care page, there is a TP-Link router can be purchased from there. It is good?

Was previously a 500mb user. Downgraded to 300mb recently - already plenty for me. Free upgrade would be sweet but no no to paying more 

ah thanks bros... i dialed via pppoe via laptop, and its successful.. indeed direct laptop i get around 250mb.. so its my router giving the bottleneck... im using ASUS RT-AC1200G router.. don't think the router is that weak, cant support such high throughput? or are there any specific configuration i need to change?

Hi may I ask how to determine if the network cable is Cat5 or Cat6? Coz I just check with my interior designer  they said they use Cat5. Doesn’t that actually affects my speed?

Yup, called my condo maintenance manager and confirmed that TM is taking some action to upgrade the existing infra, if Time didn't do anything i might switch back to Unifi.

You say unifi is unreliable but at my place time is super unreliable and unifi is great. 4 or 5 outages in 6 months of the time I am using time. I dunno about you but that is not acceptable to me.

Does the router that I am using matter if it is service outage? I am not a noob and know if the outage is caused by my router or it’s a service outage at time’s end.
