Restarting modem and router doesn't do anything. What can I do?
Also, below is my speed test result. I'm on the 100mbps package. Only getting download speeds of 10-20mbps?

My internet is pretty unstable. For example, can't load a youtube video smoothly, loads for 10s then internet jam for a while. Or can't play dota smoothly, the ping goes from 20+ to 200+ 400+ and then back down again.

Just tested again. Speed is much better now for some reason. Night time faster?
Wifi Lan and also tested by watching some youtubes videos. seems that the connection via WiFi looses signal at times but LAN is quite stable. (still inconclusive though) distance from router to wifi connection is about 4 meters. Is it just a case of weak hardware? QUOTE(FusionXY @ May 23 2017, 11:57 PM) Yeah, the stock router that provided by TIME is very weak. I was looking at powerline options. (The 500mbps with AC adaptor from TP-Link).Nothing beats LAN speed. Suggest you to upgrade your router. TP-Link Archer C7 or C9 for your choices. Which 1 would give me a better performance? Upgrading the Router or getting a powerline? |

QUOTE(FusionXY @ May 24 2017, 12:47 AM) Don't use powerline. Thanks for your advice. Time to do some shopping around. They decrease the speed. Upgrading router is your best choice. Powerline limit their speed 100Mbps only. Suggest you to change. I will guide you if you need help setting up on a new router. Make sure you have your PPPoE login credentials. If don't have, obtain it from CS. ------------ Currently looking at Archer C7 or ASUS AC68U. Is the Asus really worth the money? Also, im using the Netgear AC1200 usb wifi adaptor. It wouldnt cause a bottleneck issue, would it? Considering that my line is only 100mbps package This post has been edited by nivlanauk: May 24 2017, 09:29 AM |

I'm currently on Huawei HG8240H and ASUS RT-AC68U. I'm on the 500mbps package and only getting 60+mbps for upload and download via wifi.
Any hardware issues going on here? |
