Hi @yeahch01

Currently I'm having the BTU and router installed near my door entrance in the living room at ParkView, Penang.
I'm considering moving the BTU or router to opposite wall of the living room where the TV is located.

May I know what is the options available, my package is 100Mbps?
1) move BTU - can I just get a SC fiber optic patch cable (7M~8M long) or your team able to provide the services?
2) BTU stay and move the router using lan cable (cat 5e)? will I get bottleneck with UP/DL speed?

My personnel feeling here, using fiber optic patch cable will look more neat as the cable is around 3mm vs. lan cable.
The cable have to pull along the wall and edges and passing through the sliding door (access to balcony).

It runs on your GSM Data/Wifi...you don't get charged for receiving calls. But if you call, then yes, it follows the TIME Voice Home plan that bundles together with your Time Fibre Home Broadband.

Thanks.

Guys, need your help on this issue
I have been facing with serios lag when playing fifa 17 in PS4 for the past 2 weeks
I have no issue in download and uploading speed and i am using LAN cable connected to my PS4
Complain to TIME cs for several time and did not get a good response from  them
All they request is speedtest and tracert and ping to EA server
You can refer to the screenshot below for the continuous ping to EA server (recommended by EA)
The funny thing about this is their CS and technical team think that my ping is normal (1000ms at worst ping bangwall.gif )
Even at 250ms ping they still think is acceptable
ANyone facing this issue care to share the solution?
I also did try to connect my PS4 directly to the modem and still the problem remain the same
Really disappointed with their CS and technical team
Now they keep asking me to ask EA to provide reverse Tracert. I have contacted EA on this matter and they have escalated my case
However, no promise from them will provide me the reverse tracert  cry.gif

Wireless repeaters are terrible. In order to get great performance, they need to have excellent signal to the main router first.

I am currently rocking powerline access points, 50Mbps throughput with a AV500 unit. smile.gif
*
May I know what is your view on wireless repeaters in more specific and why they are terrible? Thanks.

I'm using Xiaomi Mi-3 as an repeater for my main router WS880 with 5.8ghz ac wifi, so far I have no issue utilise upto DL:9Xmbps, UP:5Xmbps (limitation of Xiaomi Mi-3).
I would agree it need to get good signals from main router in order to perform well, but my point is in come to performance, wireless repeater is the less hassle options and not necessary bad choice if setup correctly.

Hello,

Hope someone could be of assistance.

I tried using wired connection to my PS4 last night and I was surprised that I'm only getting 7Mbps++. My subscription is 100Mbps. I'm using a 15-meter CAT6 cable which is directly connected from the DLink router to my PS4. What could be the problem?

Suggest to check your cable or connection.
You maybe comnecting at 10mbps due low quality lan cable.

Occasionally, the webpage cannot find page showing 404 and on youtube suddenly not responsing (waiting for few seconds). This happen on both cable and wifi.

I try to findout if this is due to my router or Time.

Thanks.

Does this happen when first installed ? Feel free to pm me screenshots of your Router settings.

Thanks.

Not first installation, it has been running stable for pass years.
Ofcourse there are update in between.

I m using WS880 and running on Asus Merlin firmware.

Never mind about this, just want to be sure it is not Time issue before I reset setting.

Thanks.

I think Time will reintroduce booster option.
When Time started they have such package for example 10mbps + 20hrs of 50mbps.
Since they upgrade 10mbps to 100mbps, the boost option is removed.

It make sense to me, they might put it back.

Personally, any faster speed upgrade without reduce cost is not attractive for existing Time user.
Perhaps compensate with other services maybe an option, example of Netflix or iflix streaming or free mobile internet.
