Anyone using Huawei WS880 here? What speed are you getting for DL/UL? With respect to your new package.
Regardless of stock firmware or merlin/vortex |

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 2 2018, 06:39 PM) Ok guys, this is weird. I assumed that LAN cable is going to be faster but I just tested it and I get only about 100mbps on LAN, but on WIFI, tested with both ookla and fast.com, WIFI can reach almost 250~280mbps. Same goes with my Note 9..... So wifi is stronger??????????????????? check your NIC, is it only 100mbps or capable of 1gbps |

QUOTE(miyakochan89 @ Oct 2 2018, 09:33 PM) I have read it. Im still using the default router, which according to many, it doesn't go beyond 300mbps. So even if i have very good laptop and a good phone, I won't get the maximum speed. Assuming that my laptop and phone can go up to 500mbps. I just discovered this thread relating to the subject. I think it would cover your question too.Now my question is, how do i check the capabilities of my phone and laptop? How do i know what is the maximum speed they can handle? https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=4658454 Can also try to download "Wi-Fi SweeSpots" app to test your phone capability. Either of your router and device can be the bottleneck though This post has been edited by jimbet1337: Oct 2 2018, 10:00 PM |

QUOTE(mds14 @ Oct 2 2018, 10:17 PM) Wonder why there is a different when u speedtest on browser or use app like speedtest for windows?? Browser got addons & other things. Standalone app (windows) just focus on its role only.speedtest for windows [attachmentid=10052497] using browser [attachmentid=10052498] And both were too much different Hmmm |

QUOTE(uniquexme @ Oct 3 2018, 12:55 PM) Yup that Asus is the one I changed. Btw wat is 3*3 MIMO?? I guess maybe all these while my complaint of low speed is due to the supplied AC1200? But I did swap to Asus and tried but speed is still the same https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4658454 |
