no promotion for new user?
is there any chepaer package?

i heard there is iptv one? what channel included?
*
Free 1 month subscription if I recall correctly or RM 500 rebate for existing UniFi/Maxis Fiber user.

The cheapest one is RM 149 (100Mbps) without IPTV service.

Astro IPTV doesn't get the free speed upgrade so if you were to take IPTV package, you will stuck with old speed (10Mbps etc.).

Hi,

Thanks for your reply.

I am assuming this is a speed test with the Ethernet cable? If so, the speeds are much faster compared to wireless no matter night or day. For wireless speed tests though, during daytime my speeds are faster than at night.
*
That's because of increased interference during night time, many people come back from work (your neighbours) and use the Internet (via WiFi) more rapidly at night, try changing to 5GHz, it helps to reduce the interference.

I see, this makes sense, though was encountering this problem only recently. Thought it was something wrong at my end as my speed can fluctuate pretty largely.

Try to scan your nearby SSID channel and make adjustment accordingly nod.gif

I am using 100Mbps package but I tested and i am only getting 7.72Mbps download speed!!! I managed to resolve once by rebooting the modem but now I have rebooted multiple times, tried wired cable and still the same.

Could someone share experience and tell me what should i do?

If you have QoS turned on/configured in the router, please turn it off, it was the main cause for many users here as well, you can find the related discussion in previous pages.

What is your package.... that download and upload is amazing.

By judging at the speed, it should be 300Mbps package, RM 189 per month.

Not sure if anyone experience this before. Previously was using unifi and now changed to TIME. With unifi notissue with Chrome (youtube, ads, anime sites, office email login)
Now with TIME, Chrome seems not able to view youtube. The website loads well but when click play on video, it keeps show the loading...
I also notice going to certain anime sites some google clicks ads keep fail to load.
frustrating. Chrome is up to date.

With IE, it works well. Any ideas?
*
It is Chrome's issue, I had this problem since few weeks ago (I am on Canary build so the update is 6 weeks ahead of stable build).

I have to use Firefox or Edge for YouTube for the time being because the pause button is not working (cannot resume), tested TIME and UniFi, so it is definitely not ISP's issue.

Hi, im looking to install time fiber. First time using time, i have a couple of questions.

1) Is speed 5000mbps shared between users in a particular building, ie a condo. Or does each user get 500 mbps?

2) 500 mbps Time vs 10 Mbps Maxis (Comparison sake) - are they both in bytes or bits?

3) I have a tm line. Will that be affected?

4) Are there any promos? How is their after sales service?

5) Its a 24 month contract. What is the penalty fee?

Thank you!
*
1. 5000 Mbps? If you subscribe 500 Mbps package, you get 500 Mbps, it is not shared.

2. Almost all ISP promote their Internet package speed in bits, so you need to divide by 8 to get the actual speed in bytes. So for 500 Mbps, you can expect to get 62.5 MBps (speed might differ and subject to the download server capacity and bandwidth available), 1.25 MBps for 10 Mbps package.

3. Nope.

4. Promotion: 1 month free subscription + RM 100 GemFive voucher (you can check the banner at the side if you are on desktop site) and RM 500 rebate to existing UniFi or Maxis Fiber user who is still on contract.

5. RM 500 penalty fee.

How will they do the installation? Do they have to run a cable into the house?
*
Yes, they need to run the cable into your house, minor drilling is needed but they will ask for your confirmation/approval first.

Some are routed via the ceiling (like mine), some via the wall, some via the entrance, it depends on the design of your condo.

Hi guys, new TIME subscriber here. For the past few days I've only been getting average about 150Mbps from speedtest.net, but my TIME broadband is 500Mbps. I've tested even using LAN cable to my desktop, Android box, PS4, WiFI to phones, etc, etc. and all resulting about the same.

Are you guys experiencing this as well? Does this happen regularly?
*
Local or oversea speedtest server?
