Just checked my TP LINK AC1900 router. The hardware version is V5. Weird. I taught only V4.

I use 5Ghz for all my devices. Ok. I try setting it to 40Mhz and see. I just use C5 a week old and then straight i fall in love with the design of C9. So without any hesitation, I upgrade to C9. Yes, if in future I get higher speeds, I may go for higher range routers.

Ok. I try your suggestions on 2.4GHZ on the channel and bandwidth, it looks like cannot achieve 100mbps..only on max 35mbps. Testing using huawei mate 9 pro. Does not matter as mostly all the device i have supports ac now.

Hi everyone.

I am currently on Time 300mbps. I was using TP-Link AC1200 and found out i am unable to achieve 300mbps on 2.4ghz network. It was only 30-50mbps, even if i atand in front of the router.

I changed to Mi Router 4 thinking that it might solve my problem but 2.4ghz only give me up to 60mbps. When i was using unifi 100mbps before, i am able to get 80-90mbps on 2.4ghz network (Using Mi Router 3 with custom Padavan firmware).

Can anyone suggest or advice what should i do to improve my 2.4ghz connection. So far i had set the network at best channel possible.

Thanks for all advise. After I had explained to him on the recommended router C2300, C9 and RT-AC1300. He ask me a question " Is C2300 is a better router and good choice?". So I told him as per recommendation, yes. The performance and wireless coverage also strongly recommended. So he had brought C2300.

This afternoon had setup for him. The setup is easy and wifi signal is much stronger. All his wifi signal extender I asked to remove cause might affect the connection speed. Now he no use wifi signal extender for the moment. I just done the simple setup and some guide to him how to use some common features. I had done some speed test, I found out his Time plan actually is 100MB. (cause earlier when i do the test speed is less than 30MB). Just found a small problem which had no time to clarify which when going to the place lower signal (1 bar drop only), the speed was drop alot. I try to test same service after a min, the speed is back to normal. Im not sure is the server i test earlier was respond slow or other. I believe the router yet fully perform. Let him and family use first  for awhile ( with many devices ) and see how. Overall feel is not bad.

Oh ya, he brought it at RM590, just a price update.

Shall encounter any problem and I unable to solve it. Will seek your advise again. Thanks for FusionXY, Silent Vempire and other members help. Appreciated.

Does Time Internet support IPv6? if yes, what are the settings for it because am not getting any IPv6 assigned, only IPv4

I must be doing something wrong here cause regardless of what I choose, I still get blanks for my IPv6 assignment .. unless I need to call TIME to get a static IPv6 assigned
I also tried with ISP DNS and CloudFlare IPv6 public DNS (not that DNS should make any difference when am not being assigned a public IP)

Hi Bro,

From ordinary users point of view, besides addressing the scarcity of Ipv4 issue, IPv6 eliminates NAT & making direct addressing more easier, besides auto configuration feature makes it easier to configure a flatter network.
It also greatly enhance interoperability between mobile & Iot devices.
