Thanks bro! Currently I setup as Auto Config (channel bandwidth) everything is good. The 5GHZ is really running well. Running simultaneously on a few devices, no buffering at all! WOW! Amazing for the C9 with 100Mbps speed. No regret buying it! I am using ipv4, not using ipv6 smile.gif
*
You're welcome bro. I'm glad that you're happy with the new router. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif
You may set up IPv6 if you need. I'm using both IPv4 and IPv6.
You may set to 40MHz on 2.4GHz to get 100Mbps for non-5GHz devices.
The coverage is better with the new router?
Which router you use before that?
Previous router was ZTE router. After TIME introduced new plan then existing router cannot tahan with the new speed.
On Wi-Fi only can get 5 - 10Mbps after the TIME's upgrade.

QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Aug 24 2018, 10:44 PM)
Yes bro. Will upgrade in future. It will be next router to change.
*
You may upgrade to AC5400 or above in the future when they introduce 1Gbps line and above.
In future, there will new wireless band.

Will upgrade mine when we have a big family in our house.

*
So weird, in Malaysia only until V4

Check your box.

Mine is V2
Mine using the old TP-Link logo.

Thanks.

I use 5Ghz for all my devices. Ok. I try setting it to 40Mhz and see. I just use C5 a week old and then straight i fall in love with the design of C9. So without any hesitation, I upgrade to C9. Yes, if in future I get higher speeds, I may go for higher range routers.
*
The best for you set the settings as below

2.4GHz
Channel --> 11
Channel bandwidth --> 40MHz

5G
Channel to 153
Bandwidth to 80MHz

Thanks.

Yes. I bought from ookas and then seller told me is v4. But when i get the unit its version 5. See photos below.
*
Wow!
You're so lucky to get the new and latest version of TP-Link.

Mine using old, still the light green box.

Will wait in the future if there are new routers after AC5400.

No point for me to upgrade to AC2300.

Will upgrade to routers that are more than AC5400.

In the future, I will buy from OOKAS. Will try their service.
Their WhatsApp also good except after on-duty hours.

Thanks.

Hmm... Yours on EU firmware.
Mine is Malaysia type.
Wait for later if got updates.

QUOTE(SilentVampire @ Aug 24 2018, 11:46 PM)
No point to buy too powerful router bro. AC2300 is more than enough for our Malaysian speed, and Ookas is great.
*
Thanks for the advice bro. Will upgrade to AC2300 when my C9 EOL.
What if 1Gbps introduce in Malaysia?
Will try their service later and they have COD for payment.

QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Aug 24 2018, 11:47 PM)
Yes. The last update is at February 2018 this year smile.gif Yup, Ookas is a good choice
*
That is the good news.

QUOTE(alexleow81 @ Aug 24 2018, 11:49 PM)
Noted. So I keep 80MHZ and Channel I put Auto at the moment smile.gif
*
Channel put Auto.

If cannot achieve.

Check Wi-Fi Analzyer App on Android phone to see whether which channel suit best for your house area.

Thanks.

Ok. I try your suggestions on 2.4GHZ on the channel and bandwidth, it looks like cannot achieve 100mbps..only on max 35mbps. Testing using huawei mate 9 pro. Does not matter as mostly all the device i have supports ac now.
*
Oops. Forgot to mention only that non-5GHz laptops can only.
Not phones.

QUOTE(azinfinity @ Aug 25 2018, 12:37 AM)
Hi everyone.

I am currently on Time 300mbps. I was using TP-Link AC1200 and found out i am unable to achieve 300mbps on 2.4ghz network. It was only 30-50mbps, even if i atand in front of the router.

I changed to Mi Router 4 thinking that it might solve my problem but 2.4ghz only give me up to 60mbps. When i was using unifi 100mbps before, i am able to get 80-90mbps on 2.4ghz network (Using Mi Router 3 with custom Padavan firmware).

Can anyone suggest or advice what should i do to improve my 2.4ghz connection. So far i had set the network at best channel possible.

Thanks
*
Hi. Set your Channel to 11 and Channel Bandwidth to 40MHz.

Thanks.

Hi all,

Thanks for all advise. After I had explained to him on the recommended router C2300, C9 and RT-AC1300. He ask me a question " Is C2300 is a better router and good choice?". So I told him as per recommendation, yes. The performance and wireless coverage also strongly recommended. So he had brought C2300.

This afternoon had setup for him. The setup is easy and wifi signal is much stronger. All his wifi signal extender I asked to remove cause might affect the connection speed. Now he no use wifi signal extender for the moment. I just done the simple setup and some guide to him how to use some common features. I had done some speed test, I found out his Time plan actually is 100MB. (cause earlier when i do the test speed is less than 30MB). Just found a small problem which had no time to clarify which when going to the place lower signal (1 bar drop only), the speed was drop alot. I try to test same service after a min, the speed is back to normal. Im not sure is the server i test earlier was respond slow or other. I believe the router yet fully perform. Let him and family use first  for awhile ( with many devices ) and see how. Overall feel is not bad.

Oh ya, he brought it at RM590, just a price update.

Shall encounter any problem and I unable to solve it. Will seek your advise again. Thanks for FusionXY, Silent Vempire and other members help. Appreciated.

You're welcome bro.

I'm glad to hear that your friend is happy with the new router.
He bought from OOKAS?

If he has any non 5G laptops.
Then I suggest him to set the channel bandwidth to 40MHz and channel to 11 for 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

He made a good choice. But he still insist to top up a bit from RM 500. If he has any issues, or other things.
You may send him my WhatsApp number.
I'm happy to help you and him at any time.

When TIME upgrade the speed, ask him to perform a speedtest. I need to know on 5G can achieve to what maximum speed.
As I'm using Archer C9 and I will be upgrading to a better high end router when my C9 kaput already.
Do ask him to update after 1 week.

Thanks.

RM350-400. But don't plan to spend the full amount, just prefer the best value for price

Hi. I suggest you to get the Tenda AC18.

More coverage and more bandwidth.
Before you proceed, make sure you know what is the TIME PPPoE details.

Thanks.

Thanks bro for the advise. I dont think he brought it from OOKAS cause its far from his area. He from PJ, maybe from somewhere else.
noted, this is increase the connection signal for better connection and transmission speed?

Thanks for your assist offer. If having any issue unable to resolve, usually he will call me cause you dont know IT technically.
You mean yourself or me don't know about IT Stuff? I know a lot of IT stuff

TIME will upgrade the speed?? Currently I believe the connection speed is 100MB. TIME will auto upgrade the speed for the customer? When will it be? I need to inform him aware on this.
I havent teach him how to update yet. haha

This will increase the bandwidth speed speed for non 5G laptops

So far now TM has upgraded their speed up to 800Mbps.
And Maxis also upgraded.

We'll wait for TIME to announce the speed upgrade and price drop. Since last month on TIME FB page mentioned that TIME is giving out the surprise.

You got confuse on this part. What I mean is that ask him to tell the updates like review. For example, after one week that the status and the line.

Hi,

Does Time Internet support IPv6? if yes, what are the settings for it because am not getting any IPv6 assigned, only IPv4
am using TP-Link C1200

Thanks
*
Yes. TIME do support IPv6.

Enable IPv6.
Share with IPv4
Tick the enable prefix delegation
Select SLACC + Stateless or the 3rd option.
Restart router.
Done.

Thanks.

i'm using asus rt-ac68u, could u pls assist me how to enable the IPv6 too?

Hi. Go to your IPv6 settings.

1st select Native
2nd select PPP

Then leave the rest except DNS.
If you want to set to Google DNS then you may set it to Google IPv6 DNS.

You may buzz me if you're unable to get IPv6.

Thanks.

Hi

I must be doing something wrong here cause regardless of what I choose, I still get blanks for my IPv6 assignment .. unless I need to call TIME to get a static IPv6 assigned
I also tried with ISP DNS and CloudFlare IPv6 public DNS (not that DNS should make any difference when am not being assigned a public IP)
capture of my current settings blow

Thanks

Hi. Select DHCPv6 option from Get IPv6 address.
SLAAC won't work.

Then select SLAAC + RDNSS for the first time if works then select the 2nd option.

Thanks.

Hi Bro,

From ordinary users point of view, besides addressing the scarcity of Ipv4 issue, IPv6 eliminates NAT & making direct addressing more easier, besides auto configuration feature makes it easier to configure a flatter network.
It also greatly enhance interoperability between mobile & Iot devices.

Thanks bro.
