Just pasang the Time 100Mbps, speed is awesome! Using stock router AC1200. Really satisfied with the service

Yes. I am using 100Mbps at the moment.

AC2300 and AC3150 is too heavy for me now as I may under utilize it. I am not a heavy gamer and I download some light stuff only.

Coverage is important to me.

Can AC1900 support up to 800Mbps?

Thanks for the information. If the coverage is not too strong for 5GHZ then I have a standby unit RE-450 with me which I am currently using right now. No issues on that

So far I think maximum 300Mbps is enough for me (although I am using 100Mbps currently). So I think this router Archer C9 still serves me well.

My friend currently used the Time + Astro IPTV.
Lately he found the internet seem not so stable. He did call helpdesk and they advise to change the router modem cause it might caused from the router modem. Is changing the router modem will help to stable the wireless internet connection?

Do you have any recommended modem for it? Need to have stronger signal which existing wireless signal is low. Modem location at hall but when reach room, the signal very weak and keep disconnecting.

Still waiting TIME newer plan to counter back TM and Maxis.

300 -> 600
500 -> 1G

Not sure what plan he took, when I do the speed test it seem about 30MB.
Current router was bundled from Time which is ZTE ZXHN H298N.
The house size is about 1460sf and budget about the router is about RM500.
SilentVempire had intro the Asus RT-AC1300UHP seem not bad. Any advise and recommendation?

C9 is quite dated though, and the firmware is from 2016. It is still working very well, don’t get me wrong, but the C2300 is a better choice, with the C2300 being slightly expensive, but well worth the extra cost. You should recommend the C2300 and try the C2300 yourself.

At the end, I get C9 due to it's classy look and great design. C9 is more than enough for me for the time being

Depends on what you want. Some demand:

1.) Same Price But Double Bandwidth
2.) Reduce Price Maintain Speed
3.) Reduce Price & Upgrade Speed

Ya, I believe because of the router out of performance and incurred this issues.

I had checked the C9 (AC1900) at Ookas, currently selling price RM505 and RT-AC1300 is RM409. Performance compare with RT-AC1300, the C9 wifi signal have better coverage. As SilentVempire advised, the C9 model firmware update might a matter in future due to not a new product. Both having pros and cons here .

Thanks for your advise. I will job down the concern and let him decide. C2300 I believe is over his budget, so will not consider. With advise from here, I will put TP-Link C9 and Asus RT-AC1300UHP in the list for him. My own view on these product, if not focus on the wifi signal, AC1300 is more interesting to me. It might because is updated product with new features provided.

Few years back, myself have some experience with TP-link product which is not so reliable in their firmware feature and performance. Im not sure is the product selected or TP-link technology is not stable at that time. I have difficulty to configure the UNIFI and the setting is done will change sometime even I had save it. Performance wise and the signal is nothing special after changed the new router, even thought the brochure/box info mentioned the feature and performance how good and reliable. My friend was selected a router which cost around RM200-RM250 that time, so not sure because of the lower range product matter or other issue. Or maybe need to wait the new firmware update to resolve it. So end up I need to teach my friend if encounter the setting changed problem, how to redo it back. After this case, I had long time no involving the technical work with technology. With you all experience and recommendation in the thread, TP-Link seem like under reliable brand list. So I will put in the recommendation list as well.

Never setup time router before. Hope is easy to configure.
