Hi, I just upgraded to 300 mbps plan but my wifi is getting just about 100 to 120mbps in speedtest.

On LAN I can get 280 to 300mbps.

I'm still using thr DLink 850l.

Is that the max my router can go for wifi?
*
Which frequency band are you connected to ?

If your phone or any other wifi enabled devices suported 5GHz, use his band within 5--10m range and test with a few speedtest servers again.

Thanks.

Do you really need to change it from the router? You can just assign it from the device that needs it.

Hi, I was reconfiguring my router but can't find our username and password. Is there a standard combination Time uses during the initial setup? Eg. Account number & passport number? Thanks.

Thanks! We do not seem to have a form that mentions those. Just that work has been completed. I've sent a message to the whatsapp number you provided. Thanks.

No. But you can take Astro Beyond PVR seperately.

Hi Bro,

Astro package at this moment does not furnish with 100Mbps...
You can either subscribe for another IPTV package or Satellite DTH or other ways (you know).

Thanks.

I've noticed another change to routing this past week that's had a negative effect on games in the EU.

Game is Eve online, server is 87.237.34.200. Server blocks regular trace and ping attempts, so I've stopped the traces at the first 'Request timed out' lines as that's as far as it will get.

This first one is using TIME. For some reason it goes via the entire US to get to europe, which is an awfully long way, and many, many packets get lost on the way.

CODE
Tracing route to srv200-c.ccp.cc [87.237.34.200]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
 1     2 ms     2 ms     2 ms  ag-01-glsfb.ni.time.net.my [223.28.0.216]
 2     2 ms     2 ms     1 ms  ae2-er-01-glsfb.ni.time.net.my [223.28.26.41]

19     *        *        *     Request timed out.

This next one is using a VPN to Singapore, which is a fair equivalency as the TIME route goes via singapore as well.

CODE
Tracing route to srv200-c.ccp.cc [87.237.34.200]
over a maximum of 30 hops:

 8   182 ms   182 ms   182 ms  ae1.bbr02.eq01.ams02.networklayer.com [50.97.19.99]
 9   182 ms   185 ms   183 ms  kpn-international.nikhef.nl-ix.net [193.239.116.126]
10   194 ms   194 ms   194 ms  asd2-rou-1043.NL.eurorings.net [134.222.48.240]
11   185 ms   185 ms   185 ms  rt2-rou-1022.NL.eurorings.net [134.222.48.211]
12   198 ms   198 ms   198 ms  ldn-s2-rou-1101.UK.eurorings.net [134.222.48.200]
13   190 ms   190 ms   190 ms  134.222.109.115
14     *        *        *     Request timed out.

You'll notice that while this one appears to go via the US, it's not. The .ce01.networklayer.com network isn't in the US, as it's impossible with that ping (literally, scientifically impossible). I don't know where it's going, but it's taking a superior and more direct route to europe than TIME does, to such a degree that it's 46% faster than TIME.

I don't know who's in charge of the routing, but someone's been screwing around and cutting corners, and it's showing.

Here's the same thing via DIGI. As mentioned in a previous post, digi's internet is trash and I wouldn't use it for anything other than mobile surfing, but at least their routing is pretty spot on.

You'll notice it goes via Mumbai, which is probably how the VPN above also gets to Europe. Why can't TIME do this? It's a more direct route with many, many less hops.

Hi, previously I have applied Time Fibre 100mbps @ PJ condo. And I didn't want to terminate this as someone is still using.

Yesterday the condo I currently live in, @ Bukit Jalil.. Time is available, and I was told I can applied for the RM500 rebate if I switch from Unifi to Time. Which mean under my name, I will have 2 Time Fibre services.. Is this true?
