Same issue if using phone + wifi
Able to access if using phone data instead

Anyone on this thread had problems with their tp-link routers losing connection every once in a while? I have a tp-link archer c1200. For the first month or so no problems. Then it just lost internet one day. All the status LED were normal. All the devices seemed to be connected to wifi but no internet. Had to restart the router and it worked fine. Then it happened on several more occasions. Finally called TIME just after it happened without restarting the router. They told us connection was good and to restart. A few days later the same thing happened and this time they sent a technician to check the router. He rebooted it and asked to check for a couple of days. Nothing happens for the two days but barely a week later the same issue. So called again and requested for a new router because the technician said if it happens again to do so. Now waiting on TIME to call back.

I was on the unifi TP-Link thread and it seems like there is an issue with this router and a couple of others from TP-Link. Maybe this is related, maybe not. I think the router eventually restarts on its own. But the first time it happened I restarted the router more than 3hrs later. So I dont know how long it takes for the router to restart on its own if it even does.

Tried to use the provided c1200 archer as wireless repeater but can't find the setting in config page. Does this router can't be used as wireless repeater?

Archer C1200 can change to dd-wrt?

I have TP link C1200 model and TIME broadband. I need to access streaming sites from India and other countries. These sites are geo restricted, meaning can't access outside that country. I can use either VPN or smartdns to bypass the geo restrictions. I went with smartDNS option and set those DNS in router - worked perfectly.

My issue is with chromecast which always sends request to router tobuse google dns. I need option in rouer to block Google dns so router always uses the ones i set.

I tried adding Google dns in static route option but not blocking. I did not see firewall option in this router.

I tried
