Because it will easier your life with integrate with bank, most ppl in china using wechat as wallet to buy Starbucks, food, clothes even house.

Even u can use wechat as a transfer money tools! I can see in future they will allow foreign exchange directly from wechat.

So u can deposit money, transfer money or even spend money with it no matter where u are!

Imagine when we no longer need cash when travel to overseas =) just a phone with wechat, it is an opportunity for dealer like me when deal with prc

The purpose of this payment type is for lazy ppl like me hehe

But I suspect on the transfer method.... is that mean we have new way to do money laundry? Hehe

And also bank couldn't check as the balance is on wechat only (my wechat didn't link with any bank btw but still able to spend, transfer.... only when u cash out, u need a bank to link)
