there are no dynamic resolution supported in pc version. u can only reduce or increase the resolution scaling though

then ingame should pop out the 4k reso.
else, ingame resolution scaling works as well.

Btw, a little side tracked here, but an updated driver for nvidia was launched yesterday.

While it mentions no changes in regards to FFXV, it did improved my performance across different rigs for FFXV (1080/1080ti). Still no sli profiles, but i could crank up some nvidiaworks stuff without the toll it used to had previously.

Try them out yourself and see if they bring the same changes.

It would, haha. Those parts to upgrade your engine blade are from explorations while doing side quests.

Ragnarok is useless in the beginning, but it'll be a good weapon later on at around level 25-30+

I had to use it already since I'm exploring in chapter 3, level 30 now. Really tough without ragnarok especially iron giants. Just gotten the last item for ultima weapon. Only upgraded once.

Still impossible to do red giant as of now. I wonder if you can clear it at level 1. Probably gonna take super long...

Ragnarok is the most OP weapon in game, its not meant to be used for first timer as it is an optional DLC item to ease you through your game. The standard game doesnt have this and not even hunt/usually obtainable in game.

Use it if you just wanna cruise through the game and enjoy the storyline, or don't use it if you want to experience what the game battles are really like. Ragnarok is the only weapon that can easily warp 9999 damage. Jump into a battle, hold RB+Y, light a cigarette and wait till its over.

Isn't Engine Blade -> Ultima Blade simply just pickup several items around. By the time of chapter 3 already can have Ultima Blade completed.
Ragnarok is specialized in Warp Strike, pretty much allows hit and run even against that big snake lv50+ is easy, unless the goat-damn warp point bugged out didn't show up even when I near it...

Actually there really isnt much of the "strongest" weapon in game, except Ragnarok. Its more of a combination and depending on the enemies. Personally, my fav all rounder is the Zwill Blades. Very quick dps and can dispose of low lvl mobs easily/speedily. And with the new Arminger unleashed, Noctis just officially became the gaylord of damages. It takes only 1 Arminger unlease to take down 4/5 of catoblepas HP at lvl 90.

wow at current lvl 23 i still have huge difficulty fighting against the snake even with ragnarok.

The movie is a fully pre-rendered GCI, can't be compared with in game renderings.

Ultima weapon is from upgrading your Engine blades with CID. Pretty easy to obtain the materials, but its not the best weapon in game.

Beat it with Lv1 just now... Mostly just abuse Ragnarok.

an update from the driver issue,

But theres always the possibility haha. Ive been updating all my GPU driver as soon as they're out for over 10 years. Only trouble is sometime causes game incompatibility, got no GPU that turned to paperweight... yet

i don't recall missing an update, guess i did but didnt have any issues whatsoever. There are some that glitched, but those are usually quickly fixed.

Aside from HP/Str/Spirit/Vit/Mp ascension bonus, as far as I understand so far levelling don't plays much other roles... HP is probably the biggest bonus factor.

Pretty sure I had weapons that I could deal 4 figure per hit on the ps4, so I doubt ragnarok is the most OP one. DLC weapons are all to boost early game only I guess.

No, for ultima weapon you have to specifically aim for the horns of those unicorns to drop. I think they increased the drop rate. Took me hours to get it back on the PS4.


you should come across rusted bit by accident, don't have to find it on purpose.

old lestallum has glass gemstone while the unicorn hunt drops the horn if you can break the horn.
