As u know, flavor is very subjective...so the following are nothing but my own opinions. YMMV.

I do not own a Crius, but have vaped a tankfull on a borrowed one. Flavor was decent...not mind-blowing, just OK.

The postholes of the Crius v3 are drilled right through the posts, and that seemed to be a great way to have plenty of cut wires, so I did not bother to get one. I do not know if OBS has since remedied that flaw.

I then bought a Billow v3. Flavor is more intense than the Crius, with added emphasis on the mid-notes. This may be probably due to the center air flow. Very easy to build and wick.

Since your emphasis is on flavor, I have to say this: I'm better off with a Uwell Crown and RBA (which I own) than on a Billow v3. Even though it's just a single coil, the Crown gives me a very balanced flavor and more "sugar lips" than the Billow v3. The same type of coils, cotton and DIY juices were used on both those attys. The billow v3 was fired at higher wattages (cos it's dual coil). IMO I wasted money on the billow.

Will be offered a choice of resend, refund or store credit in 2 days. Ergo, no Cuboid at this time for me to play with.

Yeah I think it's some kind of bonding process nowadays, not just simply applying black paint on. Much tougher and it doesn't flake. Am still using HG2's also. No problems

If u wanna hit someone in the throat or on the head, the RX200 is a better melee weapon. But I can see the Cuboid having an aerodynamic advantage when thrown because it's more symmetrical and balanced.

I have not tried the cube 2 or ipv5 yet, but regarding the sx mini, I have to agree with you. One of my vape brudders lent me his sx mini, and told me it's way better for flavor. He is a retired chef formerly from a 4 star hotel, so he knows flavors very well. I switched between mods using one atty, a tfv4 on wattage mode. Same juice and build, no changes at all....and yes the flavor was better on the sx mini...it has a gentler and very smooth ramp-up of power. My usual poorfag cheaper mods do not perform as well.

The upcoming Q-Class is one of the most beautiful mods I've ever seen...and it's so customizable. But the price.... USD199. I don't think I'll ever spend so much on a mod unless I win a big toto jackpot

Anyways another example of how the firing pattern and temp curve affects flavor/hit can be seen in the IPV 4s. Try a kanthal or nichrome coil in power mode, then try it in Joules mode...it's much smoother. Note: sometimes it takes a few attempts and tweaks to get the chip to accept those coils in TC mode.

I've clicked on Mi-g's contest links before, and a few days ago me and ekudz went on a giveaway posting spree It kinda fills in the quiet times on this thread, and being honest here...I want free stuff too! (but have yet to win anything...not even a ball of cotton!)

IMO there has to be a balance. So here's my balanced contribution to this thread.....

Cotton comparison 13/5/16

Yesterday evening 6 vaping brudders and I sat down to compare Kendo (normal, not Gold edition), Team Vape Lab, Koh Gen Do and Muji cottons on various rta's and rda's.

Kendo and Team Vape Lab cottons are in ball form, so ease of use was not taken into consideration. Price was not taken into account. Wicking performance and flavor were the only areas of focus. 2 DIY juices were used...0mg and 6mg. I did not participate in the 6mg testing. We all agreed to formulate our opinions only after at least 1ml (agak agak) of juice was vaped to give the cottons a chance to break-in.

Long story short, the general consensus was that Kendo is still better than the others. Team Vape Lab and Koh Gen Do had no detectable differences in performance, and Muji was dead last.

The tests COULD have been made more "scientific" with blind tastings. Anyways if other vapers can organize similar testings, it'd be interesting to see if their impressions were similar to ours. Yes this is a very subjective thingy, but we do what we can.

And now I gotta go vacuum and mop my dining room...lots of cotton lint and bits around!

Yes...native wicks are on my list of "to-try" I've heard good things about the length and solidity of their fibers. One more on my list is cotton bacon v2
