If u wanna hit someone in the throat or on the head, the RX200 is a better melee weapon. But I can see the Cuboid having an aerodynamic advantage when thrown because it's more symmetrical and balanced.
*
Lolzers...

But TBH, mods (especially between different chips) do have their own firing "character" - differences in ramp-up, voltage modulation, materials used in construction, etc etc - maybe that's what causing the *precieved* flavour/hit differences. Differences in power delivery does effect heat generation and thus flavour/TH perception.

It's like voltage drop back in the mech days. They were all just bloody pipes to begin with, but that still didn't change he fact that certain mechs did hit harder than other mechs.

Plus 50w on one mod might not be the same as 50w on another to begin with pun. One mod's 50w might be another mod's 40w lol.

Like how there was one interview of the guy who designed the Siglei 213W on how *supoosedly* the 213W was designed and marketed around its "true wattage" of 213w rather than some misrepresented and embelished wattage like 250w when it could only do 213 - which *supposedly* other makers do.

*Supposedly* ler.

Of course if it's zero nic high vg, the difference would be nigh imperceptible... but there will still be a difference in power (and heat) delivery between different mods and chipsets.

Though personally I do agree that your juice, tank design and coil/wick characteristics plays a much more important part in influencing flavor and TH than differences in mod power delivery... but it's still a factor to consider.

andyng38 You're gonna make me spend money again man, not cool. That said, pretty interesting findings though. Plus the normal Kendo cotton pack is not even *that* expensive really (considering an ori pack of KGD straight from Japan is around the same price point anyway + the hassle of having to go there/kirim orang).

How much is the Gold Kendo anyway? I forgot to ask the Kendo people back in KLVEX.

I got kendo and team vape lab cottons at B&M stores.
Hyper Vape in Sg Wang has Kendo, Cloud Gear in SS15 has Team Vape Lab (message their facebook to see if they still have stock). The people at those shops have always been friendly and helpful to me.

For all things vape: Shoppee app

Team Vape Lab cotton RM19 free shipping https://mall.shopee.com.my/item/?sid=2588009&iid=7559709
Kendo and Team Vape Lab RM25 https://mall.shopee.com.my/item/?sid=1396059&iid=7807909

Kendo Gold is also on Shopee for RM33

I found native wicks RM35 free shipping https://mall.shopee.com.my/item/?sid=350007&iid=10201589
cotton bacon v2 RM23.20 free shipping https://mall.shopee.com.my/item/?sid=932431&iid=2287719

Right now I'm debating if I should get more cotton for the time being...I still have a lot left over from those brands tested.

BTW, I got pretty bored just now... so:

The Pico's pretty easy mod to take apart really, and has very neat internals... especially for a Chinese mass produced device.

volt mini chip board is like that too.. double layered
*
It's space saving I guess to make it double layered... That said, there are actually quite a lot of excess room inside the circuit compartment, possibly for ventilation.

Wonder what the RX200 internals look like. The Pico does share the screen and chipset (adapted to 75w) with the RX after all... (and yes, given time we'll be able to mod our firmwares too lol).

Here's a zoomed-up view of the 510 and the firing button:

user posted image

I don't know if that looks bad or good either lol. It does look a whole lot neater than the innards of the last regulated mod I had though (the very ancient iTaste VV2 I used prior to the Vapage and my mechs... so my perception might be a bit skewed lol).

Googled the image, looks real clean.

Hm, how should one even out the hot spots for spaced coils ? From what I've been doing, I use tweezers to press the coils together. Assuming a different method is used for spaced coils?
EDIT: Is this authentic from VE?
https://vapeempire.ecwid.com/#!/Geek-Va...tegory=14084732

FT is selling it for $35.99 (approx. RM145), and VE is selling at only RM130.
*
VE is our very own FT after all lol.

AFAIK, VE doesn't usually try passing off clones as authentics, especially not at authentic pricing... Plus with VE, you get your stuff with serial numbers/authentication stickers untouched (unlike FT).

Price are usually cheaper up on FT generally, though sometimes we do get lucky and stuff ends up being only a tiny bit more expensive (or when your're *really* lucky, even cheaper) - especially when VE is on a product offer run... or when the branch you're at is running some sort of sales campaign.

And yes, they *should* have authentic Avocado 24s. The last time I was in a VE shop (in KB, two weeks ago), they had a whole bunch of the then new BigAss Griffins and all of them were authentic GV stuff.

TC or Wattage? Play with the "preheat" function if you want even faster ramp-up, though in Wattage might result in faster dryburns if you're not careful.

try looking for vt40? second hand is good enough.
*
Well that should depend on his wattage needs, yeah? The VT40, for all its features, only does 40. It's an awesome mod nonetheless, but only a second hand beater might be sold for less than RM300.

So, earl-ku what do you need, features wise? Try to figure that out first, blindly getting a mod out of sheer "oh that's a good mod" from others might not result in you getting the best mod for *yourself*.

For one, it sounds that the Crown works good for you. Try to get just the tank and try it out with your Subox first. As crappy as the Subox/Kbox might seem, it already does 50w (although of course, the firing might feel different to the IPV D2) - and a new tank changes a lot more than you would think.

Than, if you feel you need more in terms of power or battery life, you can consider upgrading your mod... maybe something like the VTC Mini (smaller, 1-batt, less powerful) or the Cuboid (bigger, 2-batt, more powerful). Both are my to-go recommendations for good cheap workhorse mods.

IMHO ler.

For folks who think that the RX200 is too much mod for their hands and the Pico too little: Behold, the just announced Wismec RX75.

user posted image

Single 18650, 75w TC mod (with the Pico chipset aka the 75w RX200 chipset) and the RX200S/VTC Mini screen.

Expect the same firing character as the Pico (same chipset and battery configuration after all), just in a more VTC sized body. Main fire switch is kinda like a Presa apparently (the entire glossy black part under the tank).

Not personally interested (well, my Pico literally does everything it can... in a smaller package), but really, JayBo is on a roll lol.

Oh and Joyetech announced the VTC line successor, the VTwo and VTwo Mini too. Pictures? Well, it's a VTC mini... with a clock display... so yeah.

Quick question, besides FT, does anybody know where I can get Goblin Mini/Goliath/Bellus pyrex here locally? If possible around the KL area.

Sure I can get it through FT, but that means I would be re-authorising my cards - and everyone knows what THAT would lead to lol.

Just FYI, for those interested in getting the Sig213W anytime soon, apparently it *might* be a better idea to hold off for a bit... at least until Sig updates the firmware (or even, the hardware).

The folks up it ECF has found that the 213W has issues including:

1. TCR NOT working at all (most units)
2. TFR only working SOMETIMES (most units)
3. Misfires (some units)
4. Screen corruption (some units)

The first two are *very* important for TC (TC doesn't really work when TCR/TFR aren't working...) so if you're a TC vaper, STAY AWAY from the 213 until Sig gets those fixed.

If you're a wattage vaper than its much less of an issue so you'll just have to be careful of #3 and #4.

Hmm, some people are saying the Sig213W doesn't support firmware upgrade and some saying otherwise.

I believe someone on LYN bought the Sig213W already.
*
Sig made a big boohaha about how the 213W *IS* FW update-able so it's a little disconcerting when there's sources actually saying otherwise now.

Maybe it's just a miscommunication... otherwise Sig isn't really doing wonders for their reputation if they suddenly do a 360 and say that it's not.

Anddddd... right on cue Sigelei has launched a new, *cheaper* 213W... with most of the TC issues fixed (supposedly anyway):

user posted image

Meet the Fuchai 213W.

Typical "users as beta testers" nonsense lol. Seriously, in the world of vapemods, early adopters suffer unfortunately.

Hopefully Sigelei makes good of their promise of FW updates for the "old" 213 though. If not it would be a clear "screw you" to the folks who *just* got their 213.

Personally, "cheaper" means I'm *even* more interested in this one... but I'll wait for folks on ECF for their thoughts on it first, just in case.

Hopefully FW updates. If not, bungkus liao lor.

EDIT: Apparently the Original 213W - despite their blatant advertising - isn't actually FW updateable at all. Plus they apparently sold *too much* to be able to warranty replace all of them.

Err... mmmkay...

Sos? The Sigelei support folks tending to one of the ECF people said so... clearly.

So yeah, if you need proper TC on your 213W... bungkus liao lor. Not only will the TCR not work well, if you're not compensating for the issues, it *CAN* burn you bad, as the test video below shows:

Preset TC *might* work... but it has also been problematic on some units.

If you're fine with *just* wattage mode, the 213W should be fine though.

I probably missed the hype train already (always behind the curve these days lol), but I just got the Baby 'Cado...

... and it's awesome.

It's even converting me into a (semi-) lung hitter, while still giving me oodles of flavor. Plus FT prices at a physical shop (yay!).

Sure, I need to replace my tipless juice carry bottles to unicorn bottles... but for the hits it's giving me (without the wicking PITA of the BabyGobs) it's well worth it.

Now running it with SS with the Pico's TC. Not bad for a cheapo chip... not that I have any un-cheapo mods to compare the TC with lol.

EDIT: And yes, SS gunks really, really quick. Anybody know why?

Together with the 60W+Fodi I got from the VE Sunway chip chip opening sales as a backup mod.

Funny I actually got the 'Cado *because* of the Fodi lol: Was using it as a dripper (and still is, note empty tank) and it gave me so much flavour even while semi-lunging I was immediately sold to the entire GennyReborn idea.

Dang I've already cancelled my Avocado 24 on FT. Really wishing I got that instead of Tsunami now.

Mayhaps it's your juice thats gunking up your coils? Usually mine last 2 weeks before it turns into Satan pubes.

Unfortunately with the local vape market stagnating it's hard to find 0mgs. There's US made but doubt you can find em in a Mom and Pop's B&M store. Try large brances like Vape Empire, Vape Brothers etc.

If you have some free time on your hand, yoy could just make your own tho.
*
Maybe it's just me being jakun with my first ever TC SS coils. It's like discoloured a bit only and I already think it's gunking lol.

And yeah, still giving me an awesome vape. No Lucifer's Burnt Bushy Undergrowth flavor yet. Also, zero incontinence, which is a boon coming from the bedwetting GobMini.

100% vape since 2012. I completely stopped smoking since I got my first mod that year...

... even though back then the tech was rather dubious at best (Vivi Novas and cartos FTW lol) and juice was more or less a whole lot of diluted TastyVapor, Hangsen or Liqua stuff lol.

Guess it was really love at first vape for me lol.
