I'm gonna have to start brewing juices with max 5 or 6% total flavorings...or I'll OD on too-intense flavors. Yeah I did say that I couldn't tahan more than 3 coils...but the Tornado's deck intrigued me enough to get one  Many build possibilities...dual, quad or (if I can tahan vaping it) hexa coils...including 4mm dual verticals. Will be experimenting like mad! Hmm..I wonder how dual oval, teardrop or egg-shaped coils would perform in this.

I vape TF-RTA G4 quad 2.5mm 4 wraps Clapton with 20-25% flavoring. Piece of cake.

I'm using fuse flat clapton now, so much of flavoring and the intensity increased a lot more compare my twisted kanthal 5 wraps 0.22 ohm firing at 65w this set up is superb for now just it will heat up easily but is controllable unlike Clapton wire.

But if buy battery online how to check? Lot of online seller says their battery is 100% original.......worry when get it....100% fake . Thats why i worry buy battery online. Anyone here know who sell 100% ori battery online? Most of the vape shop also sell fake battery also. I also experience b4......same case....show battery weak when fire above 8A. Very hard to buy an original battery nowaday.

Most sellers claimed their battery is authentic but turned out to be bad fake. Unfortunately, not many users know how to test it.

XTAR stuff FTW. For a 4-slotter the VC4 is nice, though it doesn't use microUSB cables like the VC2/MC2/MC1/MC0 (so no ready spares).
Thanks for the guide. Personally I already felt something was off when the HG2s/browns practically flooded the market since last month (both expos got LG browns by the boatloads)... and then Abam Mooch from ECF posted his finding, which I reposted over here some time ago.

For me looking at the top insulator (glossy = fake, matte = ori) is enough 90% of the time, though apparently it's only a matter of time before counterfeiters get that right too.

I personally prefer Sammy 25R5s (or 30Qs, but I've yet to see anybody stocking those) to LG batts though, so it's less of an issue for me.

Fake
1. Shinny white washer at positive pin. If you want to unwrap, the white washer is glued into the top pin, whereas the original no glue just sit on top.
2. Black bold and clear fonts on the label
3. Very old manufacturing date (>10 months)

Since, authentic LG HG2 is rated 20A continuous, original should able to fire (POINT 5) without any problem.

Most of the sellers are selling fake battery rated around 10A only (reasons for "weak battery" indicator when battery level still have a lot (e.g. 40-60%) with 1500-2000mah capacity. Also, can check mah charged with Xtar VC4 .

It'll take a bit of time for yr body to repair itself after u quit smoking. It varies from person to person. Gradually yr sense of taste will become more sensitive...u probably aren't there yet. I did notice that u cut the AP in yr gambit clone from 4% down to 2% some time ago...so you're on the way to better tastebuds already. I  only use 0.70% AP in my version.

And if you choose to stop using nic, yr tastebuds will have another bout of heightened sensitivity.

andyng38 Yeah, nic does affect flavors AFAIK, often in a bad way lol.

Almost 11 months not even 1 stick of it.

My Gambit clone is 2% AP and settled with that. Tested with my friends just to compare with original.

And I'm still scratching my head over why I get an iron taste from kanthal coils, but not kanthal claptons (ready made). It started happening agak-agak around the time i was migrating to zero nic. UD, HCigar cap ayam brand/no brand kanthals all produce that iron effect. Guess it's just my body undergoing changes. Bleah!

Myself I'm getting used to the initial taste of SS now after moving to TC. But yeah, kanthal does have its own "taste" (as do SS, Ni and Ti)... and it's only gonna get more apparent now that we're subohming.

But normally, at least for me, that metallic-ish taste is only there while the coils are "breaking in". It's like that darned cotton taste lol.

Also, check your gums. Smoking makes your gums "kecut" and vaping loosens them up again, possibly leading to bloody gums. Blood DOES taste like iron lol.... but that doesn't explain why you only get that taste from straight kanthal (and not claps).

Funnily enough though, too much vaping gives you cotton mouth coz VG is a humidicant and it absorbs water (which is one of the reasons why we sometimes get cracked tongues)... so go figure.
