A weighing scale is good to have, but not necessary. If u r using Himalaya rock salt, agak-agak slightly over 1/3 teaspoon salt to 500ml water. Add in a bit of salt, mix and taste...then add a bit more and repeat until yr saline tastes like yr tears, then u r in the ballpark. Trust yr tastebuds! And you're welcome

About a month ago, my friend who is in the process of quitting cigs complained that he missed being able to take a smoke when in the toilet, doing a number 2. Fruity/creamy vapes are not really compatible with the smells in a washroom environment. He also said that he couldn't stand vaping something sweet during that particular time.

I gave it some thought and decided a high PG juice is best...less sweetness due to lower VG%...and it had to be a strong tobacco flavor. Decided to go with 35%VG, 1.5% Black Fire, 4.5% French Pipe and 3% Black Devil. Mixed 500ml and left it up to him how much nic to add by himself.

Black Fire lends a strong smokiness to the vape. French Pipe is a lovely pipe-like tobacco flavor and Black Devil is good to reinforce the top notes of a tobacco juice.

Today he told me that he heat-steeped it in a slow cooker, added his nic and loves it. In fact he loves it so much, he's getting a mod and tank just to keep in the washroom. I had a good laugh

BTW Ungerer's Brandy is a very pleasant flavor, well worth trying. I've heard good things about Inawera's tobacco flavors (Dark Fire is their version of Black Fire), but have yet to try it.

As snake said, yes most local fruities are laced liberally with menthol and/or cooling agents.

Since you can't take the chill, I suggest you find another mango/lime ejuice that isn't so cold. Ask vape shops for recommendations. You can then try mixing in that very cold mango lime to some of the new juice to lessen the chill effect, so it won't go to waste.

Consider DIY-ing yr own juice. You can then have the option to leave out the chill entirely from yr juices, or to only have a tiny amount.

Since 1% sucralose (NOT sucrose, which is granulated white table sugar) doesn't do it for you, try 2%.

And as u didn't state the brand of flavorings, percentages used, breathing/steeping times, I can only reply in general.

If u r a beginner to DIY, I recommend that u start off with single flavor juices until u r familiar enough with the nuances of the flavors u r using to make blended complimentary-flavor juices. Too little and u lack flavor. Too much and u also will lack flavor due to the muting effect. Wrong proportions of each complimentary flavor and it doesn't taste as good as it can be. Learn the flavorings and u will be able to easily make yr own recipes in due time.

However in terms of mango flavors, there are 2 things u can easily and safely (quite foolproof) add which can enhance the intensity and create a more realistic mango flavor: 0.9% saline solution and TFA Jackfruit flavor.

Saline makes fruit flavors appear more prominent, and Jackfruit is a supporting/reinforcing flavor for mango. If you're using 8-10% of whatever brand SINGLE mango flavor, add 0.5% of 0.9%saline, and 0.75% Jackfruit. Experiment with varying levels to see what suites yr tastebuds, but I recommend not going beyond 1.5% with the Jackfruit as it can adversely affect the mango flavor at higher levels.

If u MUST use flavorings from a bakery supply shop, the only brand I dare recommend is Queen, made in Australia. They have max VG versions. Use at minimum 12%.

As for your Mango+Jamaican Rum juice, try upping the mango to 10% (and introduce supporting Jackfruit flavor @ 1% as I detailed earlier), add 0.5% distilled water/R.O. water/0.9% saline (your choice, but I'd go with the saline), and let it steep for 5 days to a week at least. Max VG juices need some lubricity to bring out the flavor (hence the 0.5% water), otherwise your tongue may be too dried out by the VG and that makes it hard to taste properly.

Lil rant on flavors...it's a sad thing when whole generations have been conditioned to accept vanillin as the "true and proper" flavor of vanilla. The real thing's so much more complex, multi-faceted and richer than that. IMO everyone deserves to taste real natural vanilla at least once.

Confirmed https://www.fasttech.com/products/4294602 fits the Melo 3 mini...screwed one in the tank and all works well. Pack of 5 RBA's. Comes with unbleached cotton and mystery wire, which I won't be using.

At the right of the photo is the occ which came with the Melo...same dimensions as the RBA (next to it). BTW the occ seems easy to rebuild...I'll give it a rewick one of these days.

100% vaping only, and I now make most of my own flavorings.

Suggestions:

1) Give it more time to steep. From the look of the ingredients and percentages used, it is definitely not a shake-n-vape or an overnight steep thing.

2) Less is more. Overuse of flavorings can lead to flavor muting. Try 7 to 8% glazed donut and 1.5% butter instead.

3) Ethyl maltol causes some flavor loss. Try using 1% marshmallow instead of EM if you need some smoothing effect along with sweetness.

4) If 1.5% butter doesn't do it for you, consider adding other flavorings to reinforce the 1.5% butter's flavor instead of pouring in more butter. 0.5% meringue and 0.5% coconut (both are known supporting flavors for butter) will give you more buttery flavor without the adverse effect of a higher % of butter flavoring.

Returning to regular resistance vaping...less clouds but better battery life and the flavor is still very good. Tiny Pico mod, tiny Melo 3 mini tank , just carry 1 spare battery, one spare RBA, a bottle of juice and I'm good for the whole day.

And there's no screws to mess with when rebuilding

3 coils is the max I can tahan...as is, OD'd on flavor already. And I think it's time to wash burn n wick again.

If I recall correctly, last rebuild was Sun 22nd. I only play with various claptons on weekends. Wick was fine till today...the damage u see was caused by v0.7 of a new juice...2 tankfulls and it became asphalt

That wick has departed this mortal coil....literally! Will have to seriously reformulate that juice...onward to v0.8!!

Dunno how it'll perform with 12mg...but the ECR head is rated max 30W...I'd keep it at 25-27W max...don't wanna strain the insulator too much because it doesn't feel too robust to me.

Decent clouds, very clean flavor, top notes emphasized but a bit muted in base notes. with six spaced wraps 26g SS316l, 3mm ⌀, 0.5Ω. Flavor is not as intense as Crown, but it's not unsatisfying...it does the job. I still prefer the flavor from SS in this RBA than nichrome or kanthal.
