yo guys, i need some recomendation on HSF for my P4C 3.0GHz oc @ 3.41GHz. Idle temp is around 45-48C but 100% load is as high as 75C ! even at stock voltage (1.525v) still too hot for me.
currently use the CM Xdream III Copper base+ Aluminium fins. i need to replace a good HSF so that i can decrease to about 55-60C on full load. |

QUOTE(irangan @ Feb 6 2007, 04:11 PM) if you are using 3.0E and wish to OC, your CM heatsink cant handle that. get something better like those from Thermalright, ZeroTherm or Noctua. You will find more option in Cooling/Modding Forum. mine is 3.0C oc at 3.41GHz. My northwood core is terribly high on 100% load. can be as high as 75C. i came across with alot of HSF review but cannot find exactly how much celcius © can be lowered down on OCed P4 |

QUOTE(irangan @ Feb 6 2007, 11:34 PM) i am using 3.4C (30caps) oc at 3.82ghz is it due to not high performance HSF from Coolermaster Xdream III? well it says from the box it can support up to 3.4GHz P4. is it due to HSF design where 90% made from aluminium only the base is full copper.3.82ghz Idle: 35'C Full Load: 46'C 3.4ghz Idle: 29'C Full Load: 38'C My processor is a 30caps ver. The temp is higher than normal ver C P4. Seem that my heatsink really great I am using Scythe Andy Samurai Master with Silverstone FM121. The third best in Scythe Heatsink, after Scythe Infinity and Ninja. Reapply your TIM and heatsink. Your temp is too high and abnormal. is there alot of power saving if we underclock our processor (torrent download purpose). let say stock p4ht 3GHz we make it run at 1.5GHz maybe?
