No, you dont. Use super glue to stick the 4 sides of the chip on MicroSD. Use your finger to press and hold it for awhile till it stick and try to insert it into the phone slowly, to make sure the chip is not being pushed out.
*
This is not easy. If use super glue.. next time wanna take it off how ? Scare SD card spoil also. Gonna reconsider this mod..

just sharing what i did..
i didnt use superglue nor double tape..wat im afraid is should the tape or glue failed the sim card will stuck in there and might cause the tray also jammed forever.and after several trial i found out that double tape will add on the thickness and cause my tray failed to slide in.
what i did was, after peeled off the sim chip (micro sim) i cut it ngam2 the size of nano sim and just put it in sim slot 2 above the memory card.

Don't you think this is more risky than using super glue or double sided tape? It won't fall out? Do you often take out your sim?

Forgot to ask, is your sim taken out from micro sim or nano sim? The gold plate seems bigger than those in nano sim?

Hi, I learned from here : http://androidcommunity.com/heres-how-to-i...-edge-20160323/

Did it on the first attempt.

Use lighter to heat up the Sim, about few seconds, the plastic will bend/melt, then dig out the metal chip, it's quite easy.
*
Already attempt the link method. Doesn't work. gold plate still too thick.

honestly, how many come from Galaxy S6 to S7?

My camera experience has been very bad. S7 camera CANNOT compare with S6. S6 has far more quality than S7. I've tried S6 raw too and the quality is very DSLR like. S7 raw is just awful. Not much details, heavy noise, chromatic aberrations is horrible, I just can't find love for this camera. I think it's just samsung marketing tactics to get people to believe their s7 camera is better than s6. I'm highly deeply disappointed with the camera. Not even raw can save it.

Video 4k are worse than s6 too. While I was shooting 4k on s6, I can zoom in and still have descent video quality. While on S7, the video is just showing alot of smudges. How many of you thinks S7 camera is really bad? I'm starting to think the camera reviews are paid by samsung to have good results.

BTW, the photos looks good viewing on the phone only. I've been viewing them on my Computer.

And yes. I do feel cheated by samsung. Miss my S6 camera

It'll be interesting to see direct raw comparison of the same scene if you have both phones with you.
*
Unfortunately I don't have S6 anymore. But I've been playing with S6 raw for quite a bit and the results is very good. S7 raw doesn't come close to s6. Samsung should do something with their firmware for the camera processing. Before S6 i was using G2 and honestly G2 raw are better than S7 as well because G2 raw quality is on par with S6. Im really not trying to bash S7E, I bought this phone and it's not cheap. I'm stuck with it. Performance has been so so as well because I get a lot of hang too. Should've waited S6 update with MM.

Im coming from S6 to S7.
As per camera quality, i think both are comparable in day light.
What make S7 shine when you take photos in low light condition. I dont feel any quality drop from S6 anyway. I just wish they can make 16:9 ratio as standard on S7. Yeah i can drop down the mp to 9.1mp just to get that ratio but that's huge of mp reduction compare to 16mp 16:9 on S6.
But beside of that, everything was good. I playing with camera a lot on both phone and i dont feel any drop image quality on S7.
But i'm not shooting in raw file anyway so cant comment about that.
*
Nop. Did you even view on computer? Photo is over processing, over saturated. Of course it look awesome on the phone screen. I think s7 users who says the photo quality is good are delusional

i think people who say that the photo quality is good on the S7E is because we don't expect too much from a camera phone and be content with what we have.
*
at least it has to be on par with S6 ... not worst when we pay premium for it.

Did your monitor calibrated? If not then what you viewed at your monitor is also kind of delusional only.

Alots of professional monitor that cater for full RGB and adobe colour space that can easily cost you >RM2000, without that kind of monitor and calibration, I won't come into conclusion that what I saw is accurate.
*
I understand if u wanna defend your 3k toy. No point to argue when you refuse to accept the fact. I'm just disappointed with the quality.

I'm a photographer btw.

I'm photographer too.  ohmy.gif (Because I have DSLR, I know ISO-Aperture-Shutter, I know capture RAW, I know how to edit using every slider in the lightroom, but I don't know how good if I compare to other photographer hmm.gif )
*
There's no how good, only how much your work is worth. I've been in this line for 10 years. I'm not comparing s7e with dslr quality. I'm comparing it with S6(which i think has very good raw quality) which s7e is suppose to succeed. Don't call yourself a photographer when u own a DSLR or paid some models to do some photoshoot. Too many these kind of ppl.

It's unfortunate if some of you guys are offended and hurt because of my quality complains as I understand many of you paid premium for this phone. But be real.

I too own the phone and would love to be satisfied with every aspect of it. Isn't it?

Exactly agree. A true photographer never need to tell everybody he/she is a photographer. Telling people you are on certain professional is only needed on businesses. Else such show off is actually degrade the person level.
*
Wow, you guys really went that far to defend a phone. I'm just pointing out my findings that I have with the experience on this phone. Why go for personal attack? That shows how low grade a person level is.(u see now?) The camera is really isn't that great as how Samsung marketed it and how many reviews have reviewed it. I'm also beginning to think if reviews are being paid by Samsung. I'm really just being honest with my findings and experience on this phone.

after reading your post, i believe he's the one who feel the pain after spending premium on the phone.

I don't feel any pain. I'm literally just bringing up a point of discussion about the phone's camera which I find it strange nobody has brought up. I've seen many samples from s7e on low lights as well though sharing on whatsapp( joined the UK s7e whatsapp group) . It looks really good too. Just the fact I have seen my photos on big monitor. It's just not what I would expect from the hyped everyone created about the camera.

ok wrong choice of word there. I have a friend who got the s7 earlier than me. Every day he shows me how good the s7 is. He's selling his phone now after he found out the quality from viewing it on a computer. Sometimes quality is important to certain people. putting asides the quality image, no doubt s7e camera is fast and focus well.

Because I own the phone, I'm not being biased like how I felt many here are because of how they defend it. Some did point out the cons and being real.
