Hi everyone,

I'm terribly disappointed with my new S7 Edge. On Sunday night as usual I plugged in my phone for it to charge. The next morning I noticed that there were purple or greenish areas on the screen. Brought it to the service centre on Monday, they said it's probably my fault for charging it overnight. They were telling me I shouldn't have overcharged it and should've removed it from the charger at 100%. I was dumbfounded, so I took the phone back and emailed Samsung for confirmation. And they replied the same thing! rclxub.gif

The phone's gone from bad to worse now. When I switch it on I can see that the backlight is active but there's nothing displayed. Have no choice but to send it in now. Not sure whether or not I get to claim warranty for what has happened.

Happy to hear people's views on this.

Might want to be more careful charging the phone overnight

Edited: Sorry not sure how to use the tag function

This is ridiculous. How can they blame u damage the phone by charging it overnight? If the battery circuit cannot protect the phone from charging overnight, mean the circuit didn't perform well and mean that the phone is faulty.

Based on his comment he won't be buying any smartphone at all, as I have yet to have a phone that did not crash or have some sort of problem one way or another lol....

Do u all really need to be so defensive whenever ppl comments about issues of the phone? It's so easy to insult ppl nowadays, for example, if I say this phone sucks, it's like I'm insulting the users themselves and me, my parents, my family and 18 ancestors will be cursed for saying that statement. Too much fanboyism

Based on his user posts with a quick search which I presume u did, it does sound like he is looking for the perfect phone ain't it? Or maybe u can tell me y he only mainly post negative stuff in every phone thread.

Perhaps he is looking for a phone with less problem or issues.

I personally didn't say anything defensive I'm just wondering y most his comment r mainly all negatives u sounded more defensive on a personal note wouldn't u think talking bout curse and family stuff which no one mentioned........

No, don't get me wrong, I'm not specifically direct my comment to u, that's why I made the comments in separate line.

I was trying to say how easy the users get offended and how serious they take it personally if someone comments an issue about the phone.
