You guys failed at which step? I'm lucky enough to succeed at the first attempt on my UMobile sim, prior to the actual sim mod, I tried on unwanted sim/sdcard, but I realized some chips are not favorite to this mod due to the thickness on the chip, example on my abandoned maxis sim.

The tray is a bit tight, I'm ok with it because I don't plan to eject it regularly.

Did u use lighter to heat up the plastic? Just a few seconds expose to fire, the plastic will get bend/melt, before the plastic get cold and reformed, quickly separate it using a sharp objects such as cutter. This is what I did.

The sim separation is easy..i just use hairdryer to heat up n it comes out without bending the chip..

For those who have random reboots/restart, you may refer to the Link here, post#202. It may help but not guarantee 100% work. sweat.gif

Remember not to activate the smart stay too. Camera bug and cause reboot. Samsung is working on it.

Thanks for this link, really need wait Samsung solved it.
  • Smart Stay - I didn't turn on, so not related
  • MicroSD card reinsert popup - I don't seen this message which means my MicroSD card is running fine.
  • Package Disable Pro - I do using this, before I got install this I already face once auto restart, so had nothing to do with it. I need this for now else that stupid com.samsung.faceservice will keep appear from time to time.
  • Samsung Account sync issue - not so true as I didn't turn on Samsung Account synchronization.
So all in all, I can only said the freeze or restart issue is Samsung issue, this issue is happening on S6 Edge 1st launch firmware as well, it get fix after 2 or 3 firmware updates.

So far from purchase on 22/March/2016 until today, I had one time freeze during WhatsApp, 3 times auto restart. (2 times when using Google Chrome, 1 time after the system freeze).

Well I had decided to let go of my Onyx Black S7 Edge today. Phone already couriered out to the buyer
I t was a very good phone and main reason why I decided to sell it off as I feel uncomfortable using it due to  its overly compact size . I always prefer a slight larger size eg LG V10 and Mate 8
Anyway I had several phones with me now ( LG V10, Mate 8, Nexus 6P, iphone 6s+, Lumia 950 XL)  and to let go now at a reasonable good price is better than to keep it unused generally. I would just like to keep 2 Androids with me. I basically use it 2-3 hours every 2-3 days only.
I must say this is the best Samsung phone I had ever used amongst all the Galaxy and Note series. It is speedy, doesn't lag, excellent camera and decent good battery life ( I could hit 7-8 hours SOT).
My daily preference is still the LG V10 and Mate 8

The greatest risk in Modding the sim tray is, it could get stuck while trying to take it out. Read of several such horror cases. Than is time to send in service center to remove it. Anyway do such at own risk
If you wish a dual sim n ext sdcard , consider LG V10 instead. Only major weakness is its average battery life 4-5 hours SOT vs 7-8 on S7e. However one can easily replace the battery (3000 mAh). S7e comparatively is a better performer on gaming but similar in other tasks.

Is my only " expensive " hobby. I don't smoke, drink, go clubbing, or change cars frequently . She had got used to it already n consider it a good side activity to keep my brain cells active. I am past 60 years already!! Well I had a budget for it n so is OK with me.

Now my device suddenly hanged while doing speed test almost 5 minutes the screen is On, Samsung really need to give us some updates for this device
And it shows my Samsung Pro 64gb SD card corruptedcorrupted, previously this same SD card has even serving me well for over a year in my SGN4, after restarting the device for the 2nd time, now everything is ok.
I think should back up my SD card already haha.

Great. It's very very rare for a 60+ years nowadays to have an interest in technology matters. Keep it up and continue to bring it on!
Just curious how many phones you bought in a year?
