Plan to change to tis model end of Apr

Seems like Chrome is incompatible with this phone. I read of several users facing problems using it. Maybe such users can try the better alternative Chrome beta or Chroma ?
I had never ever like to use Chrome in ALL my Androids
I only use Next or Boat browser and had never experienced any freeze/hang or auto restart using these 2 browsers

It seems a few user having your similar issue while using Chrome as well. Would advice to use other browsers in the meantime. Maybe u can try chrome beta if u still need to use chrome.

This morning my phone hang while accessing WhatsApp photos, happened several times this morning, I just leave it untouched for less than a minute and it was ok after that but I did received error message that WhatsApp isn't responding

This happen when I'm using Chrome Beta. I started Chrome Beta just few days ago.

Were u on data or wifi? Does the phone feel hot when it restart?

To be honest I haven't come across any issue with sms on this forum or on xda. I am also using maxis and didn't have any issue. Don't need to setup anything it just works immediately. Have u tried calling maxis to check if there is any issue with your account.

Anyone have the same issue? I saw some scratches on the heart rate sensor, and i don't know how this happened? I have been putting the phone in the case since day one.

You can only saw the scratches uner the bright light source.

S7 Edge is a beast phone, but abit disappointed me about the 'hang' n 'freeze' problem. Last time I use Xperia Z3 never face any lag/hang/freeze, smooth like butter also like S7. Btw jump ship coz saja2 wanna try new Samsung..

Samsung Internet is definitely the fastest browser for S7 Edge. It benches much higher on most browser benchmark.

For those who reported phone hang and restar during web browsing using Samsung browser, u are not alone, i'm the new victim for this. Happened during navigate XDA forum.

Hi everyone, just got my phone yesterday. Set it up as a new phone without restoring anything from my old s6 edge. So far it had automatically shut down on me twice and restarted once while I was using chrome. A couple of crashes related to finger print.

Did a factory reset late last night hoping that what happened yesterday was just due to a bad install. Unfortunately my phone restarted on me again as I was about to unlock using finger print.

Any other ideas as to what I could do? Might be tough to try and return the phone as the issues are intermittent. Thanks

Well, it is the first thing I've done..
Called Maxis, and ask them, troubleshooting.. and still not solve.


I can't received from an iPhone, but can receive SMS other from iPhone (Bada OS, Symbian, Blackberry, Nokia)

I also have configure the Maxis message center +6012000015 , 0120000015. 60120000015 , none of them are working..

I only figure out one trick.. If I want to receive SMS, I need to send the SMS to that number, and that number need to SMS me around 10 seconds.. if more than that, I can't receive message..

I have hard reset my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge twice.. recovery mode, etc..

I also read the similar problem in androidcentral forum, and other telco forum

To be honest I have tried all possible solution and it is still failed.. This number never associated with iMessage service on iPhone.. and I already check on Apple website..

Change new sim card.

Wifi, the phone got slightly warm. Not hot but warm.
On my normal usage, it is usually cold or I would say same temperature with my table lol/

Yes, and also my back glass have one deep scratches too, not sure why, could be some sand in my pocket went in between the casing.

This phone not fully optimise yet.

It do hang on using Chrome in certain site sometimes.

The finger sensor not working in third party apps for example PayPal.

The com.samsung.faceservice not responding and need to freeze it.

No point factory reset, no point worried. Just wait Samsung release new firmware. I believe pretty soon.

Dem it samsung.. why recently they listen to my grieves and building devices as i wanted it to be..

hope they will not put hefty price on this.. and dont forget to include s-pen on this!
