+1 here.

It's not like flagships these days are lacking anything.

I mainly root for restoring those backup and remove bloatware and tweak for battery life. Leaving the custom rom scene for quite sometime already because its just too time consuming doh.gif:

Which DNS changer works in non-root S7 edge? Want to by pass the stupid censorship imposed by the service provider. (This one is least asked question i believe icon_question.gif )
*
i use THIS

100% internet freedom tongue.gif

but need to switch between adguard & dns changer.

For the price we paid, we should expect... no... demand that the highly paid professional engineers at Samsung to do all the possible optimizations for us.

At least better than what hobbyist end users could accomplish.

How's the case? Is it bulky? Compared to cases such as spigen rugged armor and crystal shell?
I loved UAG before on my S4, but i felt it was bulky back then

If the above are considered non sense, what else you guys expected to discuss in this thread? I notice when ppl report other issues, most of the reply are "this never happen to my unit".

Hmm... What to talk here, let's plan for a gathering!!

True also haha!

Yup, agree.

+2 here.

I don't see custom ROM any better than stock ROM, most of them sacrificed the stock camera performance which is unacceptable for S7.

But who know what will happen after 1 year usage. brows.gif
*
Exactly true, custom ROM now mostly is reduce features and never mean better now.

wth, my S7 just rebooted too. Was surfing on stock browser and switching to playstore then suddenly freeze... after few seconds auto reboot.
Guess the issue not only happened to edge version, something really wrong with either Samsung touchwiz software of the hardware itself... Did a cache wiped, will continue to monitor and see any improvement...

Unless the developer collaborate with original vendor, else after market mod is just like reverse engineer, sure have something they won't know forever no matter how hard they try.

I will root after warranty gone, but just meant for more freedom in customisation or OS backup based on stock ROM, i will never try custom ROM anymore.

Was just doing some reading on MIL-STD-810G 516.6 so prominently advertised for some cases so thought I'll share.

QUOTE
Personal computing devices would fall into the first category, which is for weights of less than 100 pounds and lengths of less than 91 cm (36 inches). The floor of the drop zone is two inches of plywood over concrete, which was determined to be the most common surface a device was likely to land on. Testers drop the device from a height of 4 feet on each of its six faces, 12 edges and eight corners, for a total of 26 drops. They visually inspect for damage and determine whether it still works after each drop. If a manufacturer requests, the 26 drops can be divided among five identical items.

Hi guys. Some of you been wondering about screen protectors. I recently just installed the Ultimate Shield. I've gotta say it's one of the best screen Protectors out there for its money. Just follow it's instructions included and it'll be perfect. I'm using the Spigen Rugged armor case and it doesn't cause any bubbles. Maybe its because I let it sit dry for 2 days before putting the case on. So that's about it. Good luck!

I think this is common problem for new launched smart phone, considering so much hardware and function in a piece. I believe next firmware update will address the problem. Anyway, do you factory reset your phone when you newly bought? I did factory reset when i brought back before i install anything.

In my entire life i never ever bought a newly launched product that less than 6 months, but this time i dun know why I'm so brave, bought it after released just a week. Potentially will get buggy phone and price will be dropped very soon, and not cheap u know. But but, this is also the only phone that make me tempting so much, i have to admit i attracted by the camera the most (Although i owned a DSLR).

these bugs might be solved with a firmware update. shouldn't be a problem with the hardware after being so many years in the market.

Same here. I've got more than enough cameras and had no intention to change phones until I played with the demo unit's camera. Its not perfect but sure's nice to have a useable camera with me all the time.

I agree!
No need to dip the phone though. Just dip the SP, position it nicely, then squeeze out the water.
I used with spigen's rugged, tough armor, and crystal shell, all good. No lifts on the edges.
