Dunno why Samsung release this which is similar function as Game Launcher.

My short summary on latest APD1 firmware
- No more hanging or auto restart.
- The added share video or photo from Motion photo is welcome.
- I actually still facing com.faceservice but lessor, this I think only affect certain user probably due to install apps. I just disable it.

What Samsung shall do in next firmware
- Further optimize the GPU as I find certain 3D games seems not that smooth compare with Note5 where it suppose be much smoother.
- Fix the heavy frame drop issue when pitch to access wallpaper, widgets, themes and grid. The animation on this area is pretty bad. No issue in Note5 or S6 Edge.

What I hope added feature in next firmware
- Ability to use themes icon only. Only change the icon but not the entire themes. Ability to join different themes setting even better.
- Ability to remove unwanted video in motion photo and save as normal photo.
- Feature to set Sharpness details in Pro mode or reduce the over sharpness issue in photo taking.

tried this. but most of the time i prefer my game to run at full HD reso and 60 FPS, so keeping the default game launcher is fine for me

this is more polished version of gameservice/gameoptimiser with user friendly UI.

How about battery consumption? Same?
Actually I never have auto restart nor hang issue with the previous firmware. Wondering should I update or not.

the ads is seriously killing me. I root all my Samsung phones but for this one, i am still deciding to do it or not.
Argh.

There are adblockers that don't need root. If you are using stock browser you can use Crystal and activate ad blocking within the browser settings.

I love to download wallpaper from Zedge and watch movie from movie box, the ads is insanely keep poping up.

I am using Block This. Most ads are blocked. You can test it. Google for it since as u know all ad blockers are banned in play store.

Done with the installation, indeed it does block all the ads. Great!!! but i do have a bit of concern as this creating a VPN to monitor the network.
This may open a bridge for the phone to be hack. I am not saying adaway is safe neither but this VPN does worries me a bit.

does this block ads from games too? also is there an option of removing the little key sign off the taskbar?

Yeah there was a concern on this but without root there isn't much choice. Plus it is a local VPN. Not sure how secure it is cos not an expert in this field.

I guess at the end i might root my phone. Aside from the ads, i can use TB to freeze those bloats as well.
By the way, do you use screen off app? after the new update, whenever i lock the phone by using the app, it will redirect me to the pin or pattern unless if i lock the phone using power button then i can use fingerprint.

Yup after update if you lock using any 3rd party app to lock the phone, cannot use fingerprint to unlock. Stupid MM security issue.

If you just wanna freeze bloat can use Package Disabler Pro. No need root. Becos all these non root app my phone still unrooted.
