QUOTE(ShinAsuka @ Apr 4 2016, 03:05 PM) Same the screen. my games hardly eat any resources. unless I use 4G to listen online radio using TuneIn app while the screen is on standby In that case, the TuneIn app will eat far more juice than the screen. QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 4 2016, 03:10 PM) Either my screen or my game (7knights). Screen by right should take up most of the battery so its normal. Everything u do uses the screen. I feel weird cos my previous phones were always something else that sucks the most power. First time on amoled here but shouldnt it use less power? Also switched to basic mode along with using dark wallpaper etc. |

QUOTE(antt00 @ Apr 4 2016, 03:28 PM) Well look at it this way, unless you are having issues getting enough sot or battery life to last you through the day, don't go worry too much which process is on top. I think i have mobile phone remaining charge phobia. Its a medical disorder. But from my previous experience, the screen should use more battery compared to cpu. You are not always on the highest cpu speed. Most application don't need high cpu speed unless its resource required game. |

QUOTE(yvliew @ Apr 5 2016, 12:34 AM) honestly, how many come from Galaxy S6 to S7? It'll be interesting to see direct raw comparison of the same scene if you have both phones with you.My camera experience has been very bad. S7 camera CANNOT compare with S6. S6 has far more quality than S7. I've tried S6 raw too and the quality is very DSLR like. S7 raw is just awful. Not much details, heavy noise, chromatic aberrations is horrible, I just can't find love for this camera. I think it's just samsung marketing tactics to get people to believe their s7 camera is better than s6. I'm highly deeply disappointed with the camera. Not even raw can save it. Video 4k are worse than s6 too. While I was shooting 4k on s6, I can zoom in and still have descent video quality. While on S7, the video is just showing alot of smudges. How many of you thinks S7 camera is really bad? I'm starting to think the camera reviews are paid by samsung to have good results. BTW, the photos looks good viewing on the phone only. I've been viewing them on my Computer. And yes. I do feel cheated by samsung. Miss my S6 camera |

QUOTE(tiensong @ Apr 5 2016, 09:13 AM) anyone know how to solve when switching from camera to video mode, it will automatically zoom in (become larger/nearer). I want to maintain the view just like in camera mode when switch to video mode. You cant. Video is a 16:9 crop from the 4:3 sensor.thanks You can minimize cropping by disabling video stabilization. Dont worry, optical stabilization still works though. |

QUOTE(yvliew @ Apr 5 2016, 10:25 AM) Going from 16mp to 12mp, its expected that there'll be a loss of resolution. My beef is just the processing... Samsung should offer an image setting to change sharpness, saturation, contrast, noise reduction and saved file size. |

QUOTE(yvliew @ Apr 5 2016, 11:53 AM) Wow, you guys really went that far to defend a phone. I'm just pointing out my findings that I have with the experience on this phone. Why go for personal attack? That shows how low grade a person level is.(u see now?) The camera is really isn't that great as how Samsung marketed it and how many reviews have reviewed it. I'm also beginning to think if reviews are being paid by Samsung. I'm really just being honest with my findings and experience on this phone. I think folks got worked up when u started calling people delusional |

QUOTE(yvliew @ Apr 5 2016, 12:07 PM) I do not disagree with you actually.Though I can't recall where but I've seen a comparison and had downloaded the full size samples. But then again... it IS a phone cam and the difference is not a deal breaker. Neither can hold a candle against a m43 let alone larger sensor proper cameras and the S6 don't have SD card, the larger battery, the spill resistance etc. But yeah, Samsung should do something about the darn oversharpening and smearing or give the option to the user. |

QUOTE(skyjz90 @ Apr 6 2016, 10:42 AM) My guess is that since the framing is not 100% the same, the difference is just the metering doing its thing and refreshing.Below shot with same camera, just frame slightly different. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by sniper on the roof: Apr 6 2016, 10:58 AM |

QUOTE(skyjz90 @ Apr 6 2016, 11:00 AM) Hmmm, but if you refer to the Orange color image (the "cofee cat " Image) it is big different. I tried few time at the same place in different position like s stupid guy at there haha, but the result i get is totally same The cat statue photo is where the difference in framing is the most obvious. Theres a lot more lighter color (wall on left) in the frame. If ur up for it, try putting the phones on a tripod or phone stand to shoot the same subject. Make sure the frame shows 100% same thing and sew. QUOTE(crayzee @ Apr 6 2016, 11:08 AM) Yes. Pretty much a given for phone lens and that samseng is doing a lot of funky stuff in software. |
