Hi All Expert,

I would like your recommendation what kind/which brand of laptop that support RAM 32GB.
My purpose of this RAM is to execute big VMWARE software, in which recommendation is 32GB RAM.

As for Harddisk, SSD of 500GB, etc (This is not so important, as always can expand the harddisk).

VMWare can run VIRTUALLY anywhere, pun intended.

Why do you need it to run on a laptop?

high-end gaming and workstation laptops in general fits your needs (haswell with 4 ram slots, or skylake with at least 2 ram slots)

if you wanna have 64gb, go for skylake with 4 ram slots.

some brands for your reference: certain models of dell alienware and precision, clevo (certain models of illegear or cyberforge), certain models of asus g-series. check their specs to find out the details.

nope. some asus g-series 15" with skylake also supports 32gb ram.

I am checking laptop (hardware) that can support VMWARE of the following:

It is ERP (SAP) system run on VMWARE. Recommended by expert is that 32 GB RAM.

As for budget, which may be around RM5K.
Try to search second hand as well.

Aim:
Not for games, I do not play game.
Laptop because it is handy, can bring here and there.

5k is kind of tight. these machines, if new, are usually above that (with or without ram top-up).

No you didn't miss any models. You just missed reading my explanation above. You only need 2 ram slots to have 32gb ram in skylake machines (2x 16gb ddr4)

no wonder. you should check out aw17 r3 that has 2 ram slots but running 32gb ram (2x 16gb).

here already have people playing with 4x 16gb (64gb) in an asus's beastly machine.

Yeah ddr4 is getting cheaper than during initial launch. Will go for 128gb for my desktop when time comes

gosh. any laptop which support DDR4 can get things done

u can refer to MSI website for more information, as knew majority of MSI laptop can support to 32MB/64MB.
