If you use this to extend your wifi, your router wireless run at full speed and so do the powerline wifi.

If you use wireless extender, it will take half of your wifi capacity on the router and extender just for them to work. If your router is a 300mbps model, extending it wirelessly will leave you with 150mbps only.

Agreed....

moreover at 150Mbps, you will not getting full throughput... compared to fixed line

Suggestion - segmentize :

Use two power strip,
the first power strip (without surge protector) will power your powerline
the 2nd power strip (with surge protector dan extended from the 1st power strip) will power and protect your router and other device.

thanks for the suggestions, which i had thought of previously.
my router actually placed at tv cabinet, the wall mounted tv cabinet had mounted a surge protector power strip connected to the only power socket at the back of wall mounted tv cabinet when the tv cabinet guys came and install
so there is no way or too much work for me to remove the wall mounted tv cabinet to connect a normal power strip , then plug the suge protected one to this normal power strip (it simply is a design failure i never thought of)

unless i run an extended power strip from the opposite side of wall to the router , which i did for testing....but wires across a living hall .....my wife will kill me ranting.gif ranting.gif ranting.gif
