Does it mean MFI certified cables will not be detected as incompatible accessories? And btw what's the difference between cable given when you purchase the phone and the other brands? any difference in performance?

You will be able to use MFi cables throught all the future iOS version. No more funny incompatible message. How long those cables are able to last differ greatly. Apple ones always deteriorate and break at the joint. There are a lot MFi cables in the market that are better that Apple ones. |

Alright thanks for the clarification. still using apple original, 2 years now and the cable is still good so far. Now how about the adapter? any reliable 3rd party one or must we get from apple? Just would like to know. How long those cables are able to last differ greatly. Apple ones always deteriorate and break at the joint. Just would like to know. power adapter do not have much issue, stay with the mainstream brand should be fine. Just get one that have an output >2A. If you want to keep your battery in a healthy state, use app like Battery Doctor to monitor and control your charging. The app use a 3-phase charging method. This post has been edited by Mackiddo: Mar 29 2016, 11:28 AM |

I have been using the bundle cable from ip5 and its still going strong. 3 years usage. How long those cables are able to last differ greatly. Apple ones always deteriorate and break at the joint. There are a lot MFi cables in the market that are better that Apple ones. The In my car i used griffin and panasonic cable. Both of it, harness is thicker than original. For the accessories pop up msg, even the ori cable nor the mfi cable still popping out once in a blue moon compared to those non mfi keep popping msg all the time. |

Just ordered online in Harvey Norman http://www.harveynorman.com.my/phones-acce...ound-white.html
For 2m long mfi certified I think quite worth it, not sure about the warranty though.. Will ask during the self collect. |
