Just found out the hard way that secondary multisim cannot be used with any other brand of modems except Huawei. Tried with ZTE MF627, Sierra Wireless 880U (cost me RM300!), Option GT, etc. 880U can detect sim but will only connect to 2G band...tried various settings, still the same

Anyone got their multisims working perfectly on other modems?

Btw, now using Huawei E160 and it works flawlessly ....also bought 2 new units of ZTE MF600 modem for future use

To do:
- Fix outdoor panel antenna on roof (mf600)
- Buy a magnetic antenna (e160)

is there any good dialler program that compatible with huawei 1752 other than mobile partner ? i experience hiccup and slow download if i'm under HSPA network.... when i change thether using my iphone its work flawlessly because my iphone can only detect WCDMA/EDGE/GPRS only... not HSPA.... i think maxis HSPA still not stable la...

i need a dialler that can refuse connection to HSPA network & only prefer WCDMA or HSDPA....

have Anyone try to use the Multisim with the ZTE MF627 modem  or Dlink DWM 151 modem ?  any clue whether they will fit ? both modem is unlock,.. i had try with maxis BB and hotlink prepaid BB before as well, just hope the Maxis Multisim will work,..
and i do have 1 question,

my ZTE MF 627 modem original is 3.6mbps downlink and 384kbps uplink,.. i able to upgrade it to 7.2mbps downlink,.. meaning will the download speed exceed more than 3.6mbps  or to exceed the 3.6mbps we will need HSPA modem like Huawei E1762 ???
any clue on this ??? in my area penang georgetown have HSPA network,.. just though whether we need a HSPA modem to exceed 3.6Mbps or the upgraded HSDPA 7.2MBps modem can do the job,..??

i am new just join to this maxis unlimited family,

this is my speed test in penang at penang road using Huawei E270 ( HSPA 7.2mbps DL and 2mbps UL ) usb modem,  



speedtest with Dlink DWM151 HSDPA 3.6mbps DL and 384kbps UL


speedtest with ZTE MF627 HSDPA 3.6mbps DL and 384kbps UL


as u all can see from result , the multi sim do work fine with ZTE and Dlink usb modem, for as for Dlink DWM151 the ping is not really good,.. and ZTE MF627 ping is way better and yet stable,..
So is big different when u using HSDPA / HSUPA /  HSPA / HSPA+ as in penang Georgetown Area maxis have HSPA everywhere,. will need HSPA+ modem to try out whether how far the speed can go,..
those 3.6mbps HSDPA modem been flash to 7.2mbps will only achieve as far as 3.6mbps only,.  if u want to achieve more, u need HSUPA / HSPA / HSPA + usb modem,..
( as my ZTE MF627 i flash it from 3.6mbps to 7.2mbps,  )
