SIMPLE TUTORIAL TO BYPASS MAXIS BLOCK RS....

Yup maxis block rapid share... I am premium user of RS... Yup MAXIS sucks... but if I am not mistaken streamyx also started to cap RS too... double bummer...

I am a maxis internet to go subscriber... RM99 unlimited and a premier user.. Used to download average of 15++ GB monthly...

But for now what maxis implement is simple URL block/filtering basically blocking anything with rapidshare.com in the address... a simple work around that works is simple change the url to its actual www IP address...

what I mean is this:

For example.... you try to download the bellow from RS links...

"http://rapidshare.com/files/269784390/rwv3oa.rar"

If you are a premium user or not you will get to finally something that looks like this (the final links) it is basically the actual file address based on RS selected download server....

"http://rs700gc.rapidshare.com/files/269784390/rwv3oa.rar"

maxis will block the access to file above due to existence of "rapidshare.com" in the above URL... what you need to do is find the actual IP address of the URL of "rs700gc.rapidshare.com" to get by MAXIS filter...

You can go to any website that let you see its actual IP based on the URL...

You can try:
http://www.selfseo.com/find_ip_address_of_a_website.php

And key in : rs700gc.rapidshare.com

You should get its IP : 64.212.138.101

Basically to any browser, rs700gc.rapidshare.com = 64.212.138.101

So change the above links to":

"http://64.212.138.101/files/269784390/rwv3oa.rar"

You should now able to bypass the block.... if you are a premium user key in the address in IDM and everything should works as usual.

p.s. Don't know about streamyx I guess the above method should works too..

Well MAXIS impose the ban on RS online during "peak" hours, from my recent experience after 12am is happy hour time...

TURORIAL FOR FREE USER AGINST MAXIS RS BLOCK...
the work around is abit difficult.... coz you need to go through 2 IP lookup and URL replace ....hope someone could find an easier method... anyway here it goes...

1) Open any RS lnks...
for ex:
"http://rapidshare.com/files/259945213/TuneUp.Utilities.2009.v8.0.3300.1-TE.antothaman.rar"
2) If you do a "mouse over" over the free user button and watch the URL bar at the bottom of your browser you can see the actual address to the RS "free user countdown timer" page
in this case:
"http://rs63.rapidshare.com/files/259945213/TuneUp.Utilities.2009.v8.0.3300.1-TE.antothaman.rar"

this is a bit tricky part... coz maxis would not allow you to go to the "count down" page due to the existance of "rapidshare.com" in the above links.

So you need to do an IP look up for the above "rs63.rapidshare.com" in this case it is "195.122.131.64"

3) This is where you trick MAXIS to allow you to do the link jump....
i- From that RSlinks page.. Do a "view source..." (By clicking on "view" pulldown list in your browser and clicking on "source")
ii- You will see the html page source in notepad or any text editor
iii- In the text editor replace the URL with the IP. (tips do a search for keyword "method="post"" to easily find the code links)
iv-Save the file as anyname.HTML file format.
v-Double-click/open the saved html file, once opened you will get a strip down look of the original webpage but the "free user" button is still visible. Just double click on it and you should be able to go to the "count down" page

Now to get to the "Final IP..."

4) Once count down finish and the download button appears... do another "view sorce".... you should now be seeing the html code of the page and do a search for the keywords "mirror" onclick=" there is a bunch of links there just do a URL=>IP replace on any of the "FINAL LINKS" here and copy and paste the whole modified links in any browser or IDM...

It should now works...
