Hey guys I am a maxis user and want to subscribe to the unlimited 99 ringgit plan. You think it is worth it? Or should I move over to celcom? I have never used anything but maxis but maybe a change will be good. Please let me know. Interested in an unlimited plan with good speed and want to connect the phone to the pc to use the internet.

QUOTE(korbin @ May 23 2009, 09:54 PM) hello, just subscribe to this rm99 package with additional simcard for usb modem without any extra charge as this is not the multi sim 1 line card, its much faster compared with my rm138 maxis wireless broadband which i terminate today after terrible, nightmare 1 year of usage So you mean with the RM99 monthly I can use the internet on my phone and I get the additional usb modem to use? That sounds great. Please confirm that this is the case. thnx

QUOTE(korbin @ May 23 2009, 11:45 PM) the additional sim card is for data purpose only, wont be able to make or receive any calls. Hey man thanks for your response. So you use one sim card in your phone which can make calls and stuff and use the internet. Then you get another free sim card to use at home as a modem. So must have another phone for that right? Please let me know. Thanks.

QUOTE(namiaz @ May 30 2009, 02:03 PM) I dont know bout u guys, but I'm getting speeds with my Blackberry Bold as tethered modem through the BIS unlimited Data plan by Maxis 3G. Currently what I do with my connection: 1) Play online EVE MMORPG 2) Download from torrentflux MX510 (speed around 300kb/s) 3) Watch Youtube and online videos (www.myshoju.com) 4) Work related transfers... with assistances like IDM And the good part is I can still pick up my calls, only BIS functions will not be activated when I'm in modem mode. Right now I'm at Hartamas, connected through my BB as a modem. Here's the speed reading. It may vary when ure tooo indoors like I am right now DL: 516 kbps UL: 250 kbps latency : 164ms Hey man what is the difference in terms of package/speed between your BIS unlimited package and the RM99 unlimited package?

I have been making so many calls today morning to maxis and celcom. Finally I got a hold of a proper maxis rep. He said that there is no maxis 3g coverage there. Sadly. Now I have to switch to crappy celcom

well i guess I am going with celcom then Their 3g coverage is better and I am sick of getting the network rejected prompts on my phone lately while using maxis.

Ok I just subscribed to the RM99 package just now. They said it is still available and there is no cap to usage, no fair usage policy. I asked a few times. He said they have new deals coming out soon but that one will have a limit of 3gb. But so far the RM99 is still available. Just waiting for my 2 hours so i can use and test out the downloading anyone here with speed tests 3g/3.5g download speeds? I am using streamyx right now shared and can't stand it. Can't wait to use my maxis. Added on August 12, 2009, 1:34 pmAlso one more question: If I get an extra sim for RM15, can I use the unlimited package on both sim cards or only on one? thx This post has been edited by icechiller555: Aug 12 2009, 01:34 PM
