I am an existing user. Can I "change the plan" to unlimited?
They've stopped using the dodgy terms such as "unlimited". Limiting speed in effect limits access. Try using more than 6GB and see what happens. |

Should not take so long? If it were me I could make quick work of 6GB, but sadly this would just blow through my entire month's internet.
If there is a way please let me know, anybody. They bust a cap in my internet! |

Sometimes it is erratic, but in a good way.
Before I reach the cap, it is slow. After the cap, it is fast (but this doesn't last too long). Overall it is good enough, except for the impossibly small cap. |

Yeah well 1GB/day = 30.5GB/month which is over 5x my cap.
Your 6GB still not done, LOL? |

Holy scheisse wow, your streamyx 4Mbps reached 7Mbps? How the hell is that even possible (when I had 1Mbps Streamyx it only went to like 1.2+ tops).
Unfortunately Streamyx was really bad for me, and I am not sure if I will ever get it again (besides, it is quite expensive, how much is your 4Mbps?). |

Yeah you are very very lucky.
I've been a Maxis user for a while now and how do they treat me? I call them about the cap and they start blistering on about my download volume for the month... After 6GB (sometimes less) = 4KBps... which is why I am "on the lookout" for a new service but all that hype about HSPA+ and UMobile is still unrealisable for consumers at the moment... Also the "communications minister" said next March there'll be 2 companies providing 100Mbps services. Now, I don't know whether it means they will only start organising the technology and acquiring the service next March, or what... This post has been edited by LightningFist: Nov 4 2010, 06:50 PM |

Yes, but though I keep asking, no one seems to be able to tell me how to get it.
Maxis themselves deny it is available. I'd appreciate any help, thanks. |

I have postpaid consumer Mobile phone line, for a while now.
Do I really have to go all the way there? When I called the broadband service they told me there isn't unlimited. A lot of people on the forums also say there is no more unlimited. What surprises me is they are both the same price, yet I can't get unlimited. I would sign a contract for a period, or whatever, but they simply told me no. Thanks. |

Same, 0 to 7.2 MBps.
But they no longer advertise it. I don't think they have "unlimited" plans for wireless. |

Some people are lucky, some aren't.
I'll have to dump Maxis if the new YES or UMobile (probably 2011) are available. It really is torture. We are in the Internet Age. |
