there 2 different plan rite?

one is maxis 3g Wireless Broadband->RM98/month, got fair usage policy

the other one is maxis mobile internet ->RM99/month, got no fair usage policy..

and i'm asking about the 2nd one..

and ronram-whatever answer is about the second one.

what's wrong with people nowadays? too much MSG in their brain untill everything made them confused?

Plan: Power Package B932
Price: RM 88 / mth (maxis postpaid user)
Location: Taman Megah PJ (HSDPA covered)
Signal: Generally yellow (middle strength)

generally happy with it.. this is the speed test report.

can someone clearify me about the fair user policy?

May i noe if the coverage of mobile internet n wireless broadband the same? I detected 3G signal in my area, does it mean i can subscribe for either one?

I think its the same...the only different would be the APN...(correct me if I'm wrong) Both are using 3.5G Network.

my download speed.....very satisfy !

The APN used for Maxis Unlimited Internet Add -On by Maxis shares the same connectivity as their GSM/3G voice network while their Maxis Wireless BB is not.

Maxis staffs mainly use this add on package to their company lines to do showcase instead the latter.

The drawback is when lots of people start to use this package for internet access, it'll start affecting their voice services as well as smses in time.

This package is actually a loophole in Maxis line of offerings not only because it does not have any contract to begin with but there's no capping limit also.

You just need to pay deposit to start a new Maxis postpaid line(use the cheapest) and then subscribe the add-on.

i just registered maxis wireless broadband and all i get is 1 - 2 bars, 3 at max (UMTS),

anyone facing the same problem? as im staying in setia alam, precinct 7 and im getting super slow speeds.

i just registered for maxis wbb the 99/month package. here's a question. is it different from the unlimited data plan? does the unlimited have any other pros (the one that i know it's not capped and you can use voice service on it) over wbb.

i ask at the maxis shop and the dude said there's no unlimited data plan for wbb. i take this there's no unlimited data plan that comes with modem/router right? i have to subscribe this as a normal maxis 3/3.5G line and use my own modem/router?

Yes its different.

No contract. There is no termination fee or handling fee when terminating the service. No activation fee either...just pay a deposit of RM 100 when registering.

Yes, MWBB has no unlimited plan.

Yes, Maxis Unlimited 3G or Maxis Mobile Internet does not come with a modem. You'll have to fork out an extra RM250-300 for a HSDPA modem.

Must i use phone or data card for this service? Can i use HSDPA modem? N may i noe the setting in case i decide to subscribe.
