Just found out the hard way that secondary multisim cannot be used with any other brand of modems except Huawei. Tried with ZTE MF627, Sierra Wireless 880U (cost me RM300!), Option GT, etc. 880U can detect sim but will only connect to 2G band...tried various settings, still the same sad.gif

Anyone got their multisims working perfectly on other modems?

Btw, now using Huawei E160 and it works flawlessly biggrin.gif....also bought 2 new units of ZTE MF600 modem for future use brows.gif

To do:
- Fix outdoor panel antenna on roof (mf600)
- Buy a magnetic antenna (e160)

Added on December 19, 2009, 4:26 pmBtw, I switched from OpenDNS to GoogleDNS. I hate those OpenDNS search redirect pages!

I'm planning to implement a Network Load Balancing with multiple modems/connections...smile.gif

Just make sure when you buy (COD preferred) the modem, test with your secondary multisim to make sure it works...

I don't think so the multi SIM fakap. As long as ur modem is unlocked it should be able to detect and use any telco lines

Personally tested it

Works with Sierra 875U Modem and Sierra Aircard PCMIa

Tested already also now using E220 as my modem but this is Huawei

It detects the network, but for secondary sims, the connection will be unstable. If put in main sim, everything smooth sailing ohmy.gif

Was going to get 875U, but went for 880U for the sleeker look instead...conclusion, don't judge a book by it's covers sweat.gif

Secondary multi sim won't work on other modem apart from Huawei brand. I don't know what is the reason actually. rclxub.gif

I already bought Huawei E1762 modem from maxis bonanza promotion costing just RM180.
Tested and the modem works with the secondary multi sim. smile.gif

I have to sell off my ZTE MF622 modem or anyone willing to trade my ZTE modem with any Huawei brand modem just PM me.
