Hi all,

Need a recommendation here. I am currently using a Note 2 and planned to change to Note 7 this year; but when I was about to purchase it, the news of the unfortunate accidents with the phone came out (in a way, I was lucky to avoid the hassle) but it spoiled my plans.

1) Brand: No preference, though I might be a bit biased to Samsung, HTC, Huawei or Google
2) Budget: RM 2500 up to RM 3500 max
3) Specs: Good battery life, screen ~ 5' or above, no lagging when using multiple apps, nice camera
4) Usage: Mostly to go online (WhatsApp, Facebook, Maps/Waze), some note takings, some pic taking, rarely play games though

Currently I am considering these phones:
- Google Pixel / Pixel XL (a bit pricey though)
- Huawei Nexus 6P
- Samsung Galaxy S7 / S7 Edge
- Samsung Galaxy Note 5

I am attracted to Pixel but it's a bit on the pricey side for a not so premium phone. I have been a Note user for so long, but Note 5 is a bit outdated and might not get updates to the latest Android. Or should I wait for Note 8 - but the release date will be around Q3 next year, right? That's still far away.

Please give me some recommendations. Thank you very much!
