Looking for a smartphone for my mom.


1. Brand.
Any brand will do but we looked at Lenovo A6000, Oppo Neo 7, Vivo Y21/Y31 and Xiaomi Redmi.

2. Budget.
< RM600

3. Specs.
Ram: at least 1GB, preferably 2GB
Storage: at least 8GB, preferably 16GB
Screen size: 4.3" to 5"
Processor: Quad or Octa, doesn't matter as long as it's not laggy
Camera: back camera at least 5MP, front camera at least 2MP

4. What you need in the phone (Good camera/good sound quality/durable)
- Minimal usage mainly for calls, SMS, occasionally (once or twice a month) whatsapp, LINE and camera.
- No games
- Battery can last for ~9 hours without charging with minimal usage (approx. 2-3 calls lasting less than 5 mins each, <10 photos)
- Lightweight
- OS at least Kitkat
