1. Brand: preferably Samsung, definitely no xiaomi and huawei.
2. Budget: RM1k - RM1.5k.
3. Specs: high base storage space, huge battery capacity.
4. What you need in the phone: non crappy camera, no lag, basically a phone for simple usage: whatsapp, YouTube, browsing and taking casual pictures.

2. Budget: RM1k - RM2k.
3. Specs: At least UFS3.0/855
4. What you need in the phone: Smooth phone that can handle Discord without much problem

Is Mi A2 lite considered an upgrade over my old Redmi Note 3? Or just the same thing?

RM400 only, damn cheap if it's any good.

Having Honor V30 pro in mind but huawei clash with google worries me

4. What you need in the phone: decent camera and speaker (maybe dual speaker)

microSD slot is a MUST HAVE factor to me
