Thanks for your input. I have been looking at Lenovo K4 Note also. Not a bad phone just that I am not too sure about this Mediatek. Honor is another viable option.

Been reading that Mediatek improved a lot, but to date i dun own a single Mediatek device, so can't really judge how it performs.

If u have the budget, can go for Honor 7 Enhance. The camera should be better than Redmi Note 3. Redmi Note 3 low light performance is not that good imo.

how is this phone compare to Sony Xperia M5 or Huawei G8 or Honor 7 Enhanced or Redmi Note 3 (snapdragon)?

Curious as well. I love photography, LG G4 seems to have the best camera. Manual mode on g4 looks superb. But wondering how long lasting it can last. Since it's last year flagship..still worth getting for 1.6k?

I am looking to change my phone as well as my mum's phone. Budget for each phone is 1-1.5k. Prefer to keep it lower than 1.3k each.

I've been using Samsung Note 2 [i think it's been about 3 years+] and mum is using Ninetology U9 [ it's a spare that i had, bad purchase].

1. Brand = any [prefer well known brand]
2. Budget. 1k-1.5k x 2
3. Specs. 3gb ram. good Camera, 5"-5.5" screen, snapdragon proc or equivalent good proc, 32gb internal memory.
4. What you need in the phone - Good camera; good sound quality; microsd slot; good gps and wifi connectivity; Long battery life [more than 3000mah]; No or less bloatware OS; removeable battery [if possible]

Side note: My mum tend to go for the really known brand like samsung and htc. She doesn't want to experiment with other brands So, for her would prefer from those well known brand.

As for me, any brand. My Note 2 is loaded with Custom rom [as per siggy], so, would like a phone that allows/has Custom OS. If no custom OS pun tak pa, as long as ada support at xda forum

Feel free to allocate left over budget from my phone over to mum's if needed.

I use Lazada as my usual reference, so some of the prices might be a little higher or lower on other places. Also, I saw one Lenovo Vibe P1m selling at RM 565 at 11street excluding shipping, which shouldn't be too shabby.

I think Honor 7 Enchance is a little over budget for me. But thanks for recommending it. Redmi Note 3 does have some lighting problem.

I have been scouring the internet for reviews. From what I read it seems unconclusive. They say it's not as good as flagship but they never compared with each other or those in the price segment conclusively.
